The Summer House Restaurant is located in Nantucket, an area within Boston. This restaurant is a cozy home repurposed to be a comfortable dining area for guests to enjoy. There is indoor dining all year round and outdoor dining on the porch when the weather is warm enough. While eating, guests can take in the home-style decorations around the restaurant, such as fresh flowers on every table and beautiful landscape paintings on the walls. From the porch, as well as some of the dining room tables, diners can take in the ocean view. Fresh seafood is the main feature on The Summer House Restaurant's menu. Delicious shrimp sliders, oysters on the half-shell, New England clam chowder, locally caught striped bass and grilled swordfish are some of the highlights of the menu. After a meal at The Summer House Restaurant, guests can enjoy having a drink at the Piano Bar area.

    Showed up for our reservation and they were closed. We were told they had been closed for a few weeks. We were never notified and had to scramble to find another restaurant.

    We loved this restaurant. Our server, Boris, was excellent. The food was super good. Atmosphere, and view , best on the island. Thanks!

    When you go to The Summer House, a primary reason is the ambiance, a New England resort just off the beach. It is wonderful, relaxing, and laid back. The service was very good with the waiter being attentive and the attending to our request for a quiet spot. The food varied from OK for the chicken dish (somewhat overcooked) to very good (lobster fra-diablo.) It is overpriced relative to other Nantucket restaurants, an island not known for affordable dining.
