Three of us. Food was excellent. The pub/restaurant was a bit tired and could do with a good spruce up. Again and that said, the food was top draw. I'd certainly go there again.

Excellent food and service. There many in our party who hadn't been to The Swan before and they were very impressed. We will certainly be back!

Food was lovely, a bit different with a good choice for a non red meat eater allergic to nuts! I loved the root vegetables served beautifully, colourful and I thought cooked just right. My 90 year old Mum would have preferred veg to have been softer! Main meal portions were slightly small but sticky toffee pudding portion made up for it.

Two of us enjoyed a fantastic meal at the swan. They’ve got some delicious new specials on which we had to try. I went for the vegan laksa. The flavours were divine. Every mouthful had something different. My partner went for the trio of fish, which came with filo prawns, crab bisque and a beautiful selection of seasonal vegetables. Couldn’t fault it. Finished off with a Chocolate torte and a couple of boozey floaters. Service was fab, great wine selection and lovely music too.

Very good service from the team at the Swan Inn - made every effort to make us feel welcome. Food was to a high standard and reasonably priced. Drinks list was also extensive and good value.

As it was known to be owned by the River Exe Cafe I was expecting a similar standard of food and service. We waited a long time for our drinks, they had no gluten free bread despite saying one of the guests was gluten free. We had to wait a long time for each course. My liver and bacon were completely overcooked and very dry. I was offered a free apple crumble and custard which was cold. I asked was it meant to be cold and the waitress said yes and something about how the apples are prepared??! The service wad really haphazard. I was most disappointed especially as out was a special birthday and we were even at the wrong table. I think River Exe would be horrified!

Our Waitress Kate was brilliant - keeping the kids entertained and the parents "topped up" on the wine a very pleasant experience and also made a special effort for our little girl Storme birthday

We thought we would try the swan as it has changed hands recently. The food was lovely and good value. Service was a bit slow... we like to at least be offered a drink even if our order isn’t taken.. we don’t mind taking a bit of time over our food, but others may wish to be served more quickly. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. They have a lovely wood burner in the restaurant, and it would have been nice on a chilly night if it had been lit... we found the pub a bit cold. Definitely will be back ...
