Established in 1985, and located on Raglan Street, just off Princess Square in the heart of Harrogate, The Tannin Level is one of Harrogate's best loved and most renowned restaurants. Known for its wines (its name is a wine term after all!) as well as its food, it has garnered an enviable reputation amongst the towns sophisticated 'foodies'. The Tannin Level has a certain style and an unmistakable elegance, and its many original features combine to create the unique Tannin Level ambience.
The food is modern British with a Tannin Level twist, utilising only the very best seasonal ingredients, locally sourced wherever possible. As you might expect, all our food is freshly prepared by our chefs, which also means that if you have any special requirements, we can usually oblige. The food & service is excellent. The staff are fantastic, very welcoming & friendly with great product knowledge & recommendations & to a consistently high standard - I highly recommend the Tannin Level!

First time visiting The Tannin Level having been recommended by a colleague. Wonderful food, great service and would highly recommend to others. We arrived and were the only ones sat in the area we were put in so the ambience was a little quiet but soon it got busier and provided a nice atmosphere. I recommend the Blood Orange Pavlova which was new to the menu! Food was excellent and I will definitely return. Only bit of feedback is the seating could do with some additional cushioning but overall a brilliant restaurant!

We loved last evening. Everything from food to service to atmosphere was perfect. Would definitely recommend Tannin Level and the Early Bird Menu was excellent.

A lovely restaurant in a relaxed environment. The food was outstanding along with an extensive wine list. The service was absolutely first class from the moment you entered. Will definitely visit again to try more of the delicious presented food.
