Welcome to the Three Crowns, a beautiful, part-thatched 5-star inn set in the heart of the pretty Dartmoor town of Chagford.

Behind its imposing granite facade, the Three Crowns is a magical mix of 13th century features and contemporary comfort and style. From beamed ceiling and huge inglenook fireplaces, to a glass atrium and stunning courtyard garden, the Three Crowns is a delightful place to enjoy great food and a comfortable stay.

We offer a delicious menu featuring fresh, local seasonal produce, cooked to order by our talented team. We also offer an extensive wine list and a great selection of soft drinks. We have a policy of ‘keeping it local’ and use local ingredients in our dishes and stock local wines and juices. Whether you choose to eat in the cosy, traditional front bar with its log fire and mullioned windows or the stunning light and open glass atrium we are sure you will enjoy your meal.

Very comfortable surroundings, relaxed atmosphere, warm and cosy. Food very good, Turkey pie would benefit from some gravy, prawn and.monkfish curry was excellent. Excellent service and reasonably priced. Woodburning stove would be better lit.

Friendly service, restaurant most attractively decorated for Christmas events, enjoyed two main courses from the specials list and one from the standard menu. All very good. Huge portions. No need for starter or anything else. We like the Three Crowns and eat there or stay once or twice a year. This experience reinforced our good impression

As always our visit was exceptional even though we were weathering the storm and the fire had to be put out. The food and staff were brilliant and very professional, only wished we lived closer.

First time visiting this establishment and was very pleasantly surprised the staff are very welcoming and helpful with showing us our table and then allowing us to sit in the bar until we were ready to eat. The food was outstanding and extremely good value for money we had the seafood platter for two which was more than enough for us. Great food great staff and overall excellent experience we will definitely be going back again

Superb meal, perfectly cooked. Excellent service from friendly professional staff. Our waitress Beth was a delight.

Good food, poor service. We were seated quickly on arrival and given a few minutes to look at the menu. When the waiter returned to take our order I politely enquired if the smoked bacon with the eggs benedict could be swapped for smoked salmon. I only made this request as smoked salmon and scrambled eggs was also on the menu so I did not think that it was asking a lot. The waiter replied to this request with a rather blunt 'no, i'm afraid not' with no explanation as to why. So in the end my partner ordered the smoked salmon and scrambled eggs and I ordered the eggs benedict and we did the swap ourselves. Oh and I ordered a Bellini only to be told after 5 minutes of waiting that they did not have any peach juice. The food was good but i'm afraid that due to the unhelpful nature of the waiter the next time that we want to go somewhere for breakfast we will go somewhere else.

Very nice Roast dinner, had a few meals there now and always good, staff are ok but sometimes inconsistent. On the whole though a very nice pub with good food!!
