   Another outstanding meal, we’ve eaten here twice in three days! We visited for Easter and the lamb Sunday dinner was fantastic- I really hope it’s included as an option on future Sunday lunches every so often. Today we visited for another pie night. Amazing steak pie, generous portions and such value for money!

   Beautiful food, we were all very impressed with the quality & portion sizes. In addition the service was excellent. We’ll be back again very soon.

   First time to this restaurant and we were not disappointed. All the food was freshly cooked , hot and delicious. Service was very good. Would highly recommend.

   Very poor experience here. Visited with family on a Sunday evening. 3 Ordered creamy garlic mushrooms as starters, received mushrooms in an extremely watered down ‘sauce’. 2 of us ordered vegetable pie for mains, received an open tomato and courgette flan, 1 ordered fish and chips, received fish and roast potatoes as they’d ran out of chips, 1 ordered beef Sunday dinner, beef was so tough he couldn’t even cut through it. Decided not to risk deserts. Service was also very slow despite not being that busy. Wouldn’t return or recommend. Shame because it used to be a nice foody pub.

   We expected it to be extra busy due to being Mother’s Day, however we got put on a table for 4 that was barely big enough for 2!!!! We booked a long time in advance too so really didn’t expect that. The wait between main and deserts was over half an hour and we had to chase a couple of times. Food was lovely as always but these couple of things spoiled it for the parent’s first visit.

   Excellent as always . Food and service was spot on , owner and restaurant manager always friendly and overall excellent
