Not attentive. 20 minutes to be acknowledged at the table, additional 25 minutes for drinks and 15 more to even order dinner. Spoke to manager (twice). Response was along the lines of “it is what it is.” Had to ask for silverware to eat, water refills, soda refills, drink refills, etc. Nothing was proactive. Did not really improve throughout the night. Service was not at all what I would expect for a $800 dinner for 6 people. Will not return to this Richmond staple.

                                                                          I took my family here for my mom’s birthday. I was very excited to try it because I had only heard good things about the place and my mom was visiting from GA. To start, one of the bussers dropped glass cups next to the table my family was sitting at and glass shattered everywhere. Pieces landed on the table, went into my parent’s clothes and by our feet. Of course we understand accidents happen, but no one apologized to us and seemed to mind the glass shattering onto our table until I pointed it out to one of the workers and had us move tables. I would think a manager of some sort should come out and apologize to us as literal glass shards went everywhere and it could’ve potentially been a very dangerous event. As this was happening, our food was starting to come out. The prime rib my dad ordered was cooked differently than what he had ordered so it had to be taken back to the kitchen. Again, I understand these things happen. We got all our food, which was decent and we brushed off the events as this was a moment to celebrate my mom’s birthday. We got there for a 6:45 reservation and ended up leaving the restaurant at 9:20. The entire process was way too slow. The food took forever to come out, dessert took too long (which was on the house for my mom’s birthday) but by the end of it, we were completely drained. The restaurant is beautiful with its historical artifacts, decor and the waiter was kind throughout everything but for the food on top of the events that occurred, I am glad I tried out the place but I do not plan on visiting again.

                                                                          Decor was stunning & also decorated for Christmas. Service lacked on the 2nd floor but food was delicious. Chilean Sea Bass was cooked just right & the spinach salad was fresh. Scallops with mushroom risotto was throughly enjoyed. We did have drinks at the bar prior to dinner & the bartender when he finally acknowledged us made a really fabulous martini & Cosmo. We would definitely come back.

                                                                          Our dinner was beyond wonderful!! We got three appetizers…fried oysters,coconut shrimp and crab cake and all were delicious. Dinner entrees were the Scottish salmon and Chilean Sea Bass which were again delicious!!! Our waiter was friendly, professional and delivered our food very quick. We will definitely be back!!
