Located in the heart of historic Genesee Depot just down the road from the famous Ten Chimneys you will find the Union House. Known for its unique menu featuring wild game fused with classic fine dining, our mission is to bring people together while creating a memorable dining experience surrounded by historic photos of the town along with Union House frequenters, Lynn Fontanne and Alfred Lunt. The menu is driven by ingredients and is constantly developing throughout the year led by award-winning Executive Chef and General Manager, Dan Harrell and Executive Sous Chef, Christian Garcia-Cortez. We feature an extensive wine, scotch and bourbon list highlighting selections from around the United States and world along with barrel-aged old fashioneds and Manhattans that include our very own hand-crafted bitters. We look forward to having you join us!

    We could not be more pleased with our dining experience at The Union House. Everyone from the welcoming staff member at the door, to the hostess who took us to our table, to our waitress, to the servers who brought out our dinner or poured the water were attentive to detail, warm and welcoming. The food was exceptional as were the cocktails. We will be back!

    Seating was pleasant, waiter was a good - he seemed to get busy at the end and not able to focus on our needs. Dinner salad, entrees and sides did not meet our expectations. Salad (ceasar) dressing was a bit too much lemon and oily; sides of broccolini and mushrooms were too salty. Steak and lobster were well cooked and tasty. Crabcake flavor was too Smokey for me.

    We enjoyed everything about our evening at the Union House. Friendly and attentive bar tender and hostess. Professional waitress, and absolutely delicious food, The white linens and silver made the dining room sparkle and we sat comfortably in front of a beautiful fireplace. The waitress was friendly and helpful, but not pushy or intrusive. Noise was minimal, making it easy to converse. We will definitely be back.

    The carpaccio appetizer, caesar salad and the filet were fantastic. The toasted bread that came with the carpaccio, the vegetables and glaze with the filet were a bit too salty.

    We had a great date night experience. Each item we had was very good starting with the French onion soup and wild boar meatballs.

    Dinner was excellent. The beef carpaccio and boar meatballs were very tasty. I had the elk and risotto special which was very good. My wife and son both had NY strip steaks which were cooked well. The creme brulee and chocolate tart were great. Service was very good.

    Food was amazing. A little pricey but we are willing to pay for delicious food. Service was exceptional, we had Karen as our main serving member but others helped to make sure we were well taken care of. They even provided a delicious birthday dessert for my friend. Extraordinary dining experience, 10 out of 10 we will be back.
