Set high on a hilltop with breathtaking panoramic views of the Monterey Bay, The View Restaurant & Bar at Chaminade offers a unique dining experience. Indoor and outdoor seating allows guests to enjoy the naturally beautiful scenery which compliments the contemporary California Cuisine. Whether it’s sustainable seafood or locally grown produce, The View emphasizes natural ingredients while providing four-diamond service. A 4% surcharge will be added to all guest checks to help cover increases in labor costs and to support a higher minimum wage.

***Please note that our kitchen closes from 1:30pm-2:00pm to prepare for dinner service. Our bar and restaurant remain open during that time, offering a fine selection of local wines, craft beers, signature cocktails, and non-alcoholic refreshments to enjoy.

                      Phenomenal View, food and service. Hannah and Katcha were superb. Great time. So glar we decided to visit!!

                      Live music and Ginger Eclipse!? So good. We sat at the bar and had sliders, wings, a wedge and the most amazing calamari we’ve ever had! We are English and know good Crispy Fish! We also had the Truffle Chips to go back to our room with. Asked for well done so they wouldn’t be soggy. After a nightcap and the chips we were on cloud 9. Love that we have more time left on our trip.

                      We made a reservation for 530pm. Out day wine tasting got done early so we made our way back to the resort. Had a dip in the hot tub before heading over to catch the tail end of sunset with the most spectacular view of the bay. The day, so we thought, couldn’t get any better. The bartender was fairly nice but the vibe was really good. Didn’t feel rushed and even took our drinks over to a fire pit on another patio. Really just a great spot especially for being at a hotel. Usually they are stale and boring. Not here, there was even live music.

                      So good. Can’t wait to come back. That view and rancheros wow. Even the ceviche was amazing. We had a good server and breathtaking view with fun atmosphere. Coming back

                      Menu is fair enough with options for all. The server was peppy and attentive. The view was just ok and lacking. The grounds and direct eyeline from the restaurant needs care. Music would have been nice layer. Valet attendant was professional and gracious.

                      The atmosphere is really beautiful. Service is very slow. We had to wait over an hour and half for our food, but the server was good and he was trying his best.  The fruit ball though, it had a taste of either onion or garlic in it we could not eat it. They may use the same board to cut the fruit over. Pricewise it’s very reasonable compared to other places with atmosphere like this.

                      During my holiday visit from Arizona, we kicked off our day with a hike through the majestic Redwoods. Afterward, we enjoyed lunch at The View, where the menu was straightforward and manageable. I highly recommend trying the calamari, truffle fries, sliders, and tacos, as well as the dessert. The ice cream cookie snickerdoodle we had was absolutely delightful! I can't emphasize enough how stunning the views from the property were.

                      Will never go back on a holiday (xmas dinner). We were put in a side room, very very loud, and felt like we were at a convention. No view like in main restaurants Apps took over an hour to get. Dinner much later, no one to even give us water. They seemed overbooked and understaffed. Very disappointed.
