    This fixed price menu at $130 is too expensive for food received. The duck was tasteless and the same with the chicken. The wine list was a book with about 1000 bottles available and only 3-4 under $100 while most went to $500+. On top of the bill with tax was a 5% add on for employees?? Employee's what? I would consider that part of a tip so only 10% was left ($40). This restaurant is trying to be a "French Laundry" level restaurant but fails in the food department. The service was excellent and none of the above was their fault. Needless to say, we won't be back. This used to be an outstanding restaurant...20 years ago! We did not finish the salad (no dressing) the entrée (tasteless) nor the apple crisp which was not.

    We like the Village Pub as a place for special meals. We took our family with an international visitor for dinner. Unfortunately we were seated next to a table of the loudest men I have encountered for a long time. We really struggled to chat, and our servers had to keep apologizing for not being able to hear us. It kind of ruined the experience. On the menu, it would be great to have more than one vegetarian entree. Our vegetarian essentially ate bread for her entree because she doesn’t like butternut squash. Service was lovely as always.

    Very good service in all procedures including ordering, servicing and cleaning up. The environment both inside the restaurant and outside (pretty stars at night in Woodside). The food is also impeccable with various options.
