                                                                                          Warm and welcoming, we were sat on a table for two, however due to our order which had a large sharing platter were asked if we wished to be moved to a larger table which we gladly accepted as it was next to the open fire. Whilst the chateaubriand was tender, had a beautiful crust it was cooked medium rare rather than rare. It was however eaten and very much enjoyed. Staff were exceptionally pleasant keeping us updated at all times, without the feeling that our evening was continuously being interrupted. Good service, good food, (the best company) all adds up to a great evening.

                                                                                          We visit here often but it’s the first time I’ve had one of their roast dinners. Had the duo roast comprising chicken and beef. It was delicious. The Yorkshires were huge there was a good variety of vegetables all beautifully cooked and the gravy was rich and plentiful. I had the cheesecake which I always have and again this was absolutely divine!

                                                                                          Very good Sunday roast main course. Veg and Yorkshires were perfect. The apple crumble could have done with more custard and less crumble.... The ladies room could do with a makeover as could some of the decor in the dining room. Having said that, lovely staff and real country pub smell. Lovely

                                                                                          Honestly, the best Sunday roast I've ever had. Excellent food; frendly, professional service. A great experience throughout.

                                                                                          It took over an hour to receive our food. When the food came my friends chicken burger was cold and he had to ask for a fresh one. My girlfriend’s roast was also only warm but as the food had taken so long she didn’t want to ask for another as she was so hungry. Really expected better when paying the prices we did.

                                                                                          Not up to your normal standard roast looked lovely when it eventually came out but beef was chewy and didn’t taste right, also steak burger was pretty flavourless. Food is normally much better than we had today think perhaps the kitchen may have been short staffed or slightly unprepared for a busy service
