   Very pleasant lunch. Only criticism was that the small portion of fish and chips was a little too small and the chips were overcooked. I could easily have produced this meal at home. The large fish and chips were fine and chips fresher.

   Given we were going into lock down again it was brilliant. There was a limited menu but we totally understood that & the food we had was great. Service was with a smile even with what lay ahead. Thank you

   Amazing place and fantastic food. The host went out of her way to ensure I had a warm table and also kept the last 2 steaks on reserve for us.

   I have to say this is the only time I have visited where I haven’t been satisfied. It took ages for our order to be take for drinks when they eventually did take our drinks order we jumped at the chance and ordered our food. The starter arrived which was a sharing Camembert and we were not offered side plates which meant there was lots of cheese over the table after we had finished. The food was ok I have no complaints there but after our plates were cleared for the main they did nor ask us to see the dessert menu or asked if we would like anything else. We waited and waited thinking that she would come back and we tried to get their attention without shouting by this time she had cleared the table next to us was being cleared and she immediately offered them the dessert menu. After half an hour of waiting to see the menu my fiancée had to walk up to the staff in the other room and ask for the bill because we weren’t going to be ordering desserts after having to wait. They were very apologetic but by this time it was too late. As myself and my partner don’t get to go on dates very often it ruined our one night out. Service is everything in any establishment whether you’re eating pub grub or Michelin star food it’s not difficult to give great service and be attentive but when you clearly have wait staff who really clearly don’t want to be there it really shows. I’m hoping this isn’t a regular occurrence but we won’t be going back for a little while.

   Food was good though a lot of things were off due to this being the last day the hotel was open before a month's lockdown. We enjoyed our meal and time there.

   It has been one of the joys since lockdown eased to visit the White Hart every week for the vegetarian Sunday roast. We have been greeted warmly, looked after well and have had delicious food and drink. It has been a pleasure and I am sorry it is now pausing for a while due to the new lockdown.

   Would highly recommend eating here! Found this lovely place whilst driving through the town and it did not disappoint!! Had squid for starters and it was delicious and perfectly cooked! My father and I both had steak mains and they were melt in the mouth gorgeous!! Staff were very friendly and talkative and made the atmosphere even better!

    Stayed here for two nights as for a base whilst visiting Bombay Sapphire just down the road. We stayed in one of the Stable rooms rather than in the main building, the room was a really good size and en-suite really well appointed. We ate in the pub on the first night, both of us opted for the Steak options. Food was excellent and service equally as good. The breakfast was fantastic as well, we went for the full english but also had a really good selection of pastries and toast. The quality of the ingredients was really good, the bacon was lovely.
