Join us between 12 noon and 5pm in our traditional lounge for a classic and indulgent afternoon of dainty sandwiches, homemade scones, delicious cakes and sweet treats. Bookings must be made at least 48 hours in advance, and a non-refundable deposit of £5pp will be taken to confirm your booking.

Roast beef dinner, overcooked or reheated. Possibly kept on a hot plate. Fish and chips, fish overcooked or reheated. Been many times before it was taken over by new management and never had problems before.

Not much choice of food and what we ordered wasn’t that great not good value for money I’d say but the service ladies was very nice and welcoming

We have been here several times before & had good food but this time the food was not good. The veggie option (beetroot wellington) was small, very dry, over cooked & tasteless. The accompanying vegetables were few in numbers & the whole dish was poorly presented. The sticky toffee & ginger pudding was 'heavy' not at all like a pudding should be & there was no sign of a gingerbread taste at all... Very disappointed

Good menu offering a range of choices of quality fresh food from local sources prepared on site. Slightly disappointed with speed of service - two and three quarter hours for a two course meal for eight people tried the patience of some of the younger members of our party a little and the dining room was far from full. However we live just over a mile from the venue and the facilities and service offered by the new proprietors overall since the latest refurbishment and re-imaging are most welcome. The venue is now high on our list of places to consider near Attleborough for a celebratory meal out or when entertaining family or guests from further afield.

My parents really enjoyed their Christmas lunch. Good food, nice polite waiters but the portions were too big for them.

The overall experience at The White Lodge was good. There was unfortunately a lot of items that were not available from the menu. The food was fairly good and reasonably priced. I did feel for an evening meal the ambience could have been a little better. In such a large room you could do with having more ambient lighting instead of such harsh overhead lighting. The service was outstanding. All the girls that served us were so friendly and helpful and really made the experience good.

I was unusually disappointed by our meal yesterday evening. I need to say that we usually have a fabulous time and fabulous food as we come here often but last night was a disappointment and it wasn’t because it was booked up A there were a couple tables free. We came as a party of six for a Christmas meal. We sat in the long room alongside two long tables of people who were together and rowdy all evening - at times we couldn’t hear our own conversations. Four of us had turkey roasts - two ordered without red cabbage and three came with it. Rather than cause a fuss we scraped into a bowl and carried on. The roasted vegetables were very hard - to the point they were hard to cut - and some of the roast potatoes were so well roasted that they were more of a very solid puff of nothingness. Two of the roasts were almost cold on very cold plates and two came out piping hot which was odd. The rest of the food was good and ok - one risotto and one fish and chips - and the starters and desserts were lovely. It was the turkey mains that really let the evening down. We did mention the hard vegetables after the meal and the waitress did say she would mention it to the kitchen staff.
