The Wine House Fairfax, a full service restaurant and retail wine store, serving over 500 boutique wines from around the world to enjoy in your home, or in store with our handcrafted menu, featuring In-house Smoked Salmon to New Zealand Grass-Fed Filet Mignon. Walls of wine surround a small number of tables, and bar.                                                                           During restaurant week most if not all area restaurants have a 3 course meal for a fixed price but this restaurant only has 2 courses. They also boldly write that you can't share, make substitutions or carry out. Leaves you with a feeling that they are cheap and petty. Food was ok, husband enjoyed beef burgundy, my steak frites was underseasoned, chewy and unevenly cooked. Will not be returning and I wouldn't recommend.

We are sorry to hear that your experience during Restaurant Week did not meet your expectations. The City no longer requires participating restaurants to offer 3 courses, instead giving us carte blanche to showcase our menu. We are sorry to hear that your steak was not up to standard and have addressed this with the Chef. The policies on sharing, substitutions, and carry-out are in place to ensure the best possible dining experience for all our guests, but we understand they may not be suitable for everyone.

                                                                          Great dinner last night. It was restaurant week. There were good choices on the menu. I recommend the burrata with arugula for an appetizer & the lamb shank for the main course. Both were excellent.

                                                                          Always a great time, excellent service and a wide verity of wines and delicious food. The waitress was very pleasant, informative, kept our orders flowing in a timely manner with professionalism. Thank you to the Chefs for their delicious meals cooked to perfection!
