The WineGlass Restaurant; once known as The Anglers Restaurant (as you can often spot one or two trying a ‘catch’ on the river-banks), is our beautiful river facing restaurant. In-keeping with the character of the Tithe Barn and Riverside Taverns; the WineGlass also features rustic wooden beams overhead and a charming library area. We pride ourselves in offering simple, unstuffy service with delicious comforting food prepared with precision and intensity of flavour.
As the name suggests, wine features prominently in the restaurant; a list handpicked by the Vineyard's Director of Wine offering over 40 wines and champagnes by the glass the most extensive offering in the local area. Unsure of which wine to pick? Ask our expertly trained staff for their advice and find the perfect accompaniment to really enhance your dish and dining experience. We firmly believe that fabulous food deserves a fabulous wine list.

A nice location, but the food was very disappointing - bland and not well cooked. Service was ok, but not great. Overall, a poor experience that was bad value. How did it get such a high rating on this app???

Roast chicken was a bit chewy. Rhubarb Ice Cream looked as though it had been defrosted and then refrozen. Carrots were hard and inedible.

One of our party ordered the steak priced at almost £25. The quality of the steak was awful. It was tough and fatty, very hard to cut and chew! We were very disappointed that he left the restaurant still hungry! We did complain and was given one free cup of coffee which felt like an insult when you consider our bill was over £150. It will be a long time before we re-visit!!

Booked for a birthday treat and was slightly disappointed, the service was great but minor things let it down. Sandwiches were dry on top pointing to not being freshly made, not enough cutlery and chipped milk jug. The desserts were also disappointing - lack of variety. I had mentioned on the booking it was for a birthday but no mention was made. The meat board was the best thing on offer. Shame really was expecting it to be so much nicer.

Great location with a nice restaurant area. Staff were very attentive but we didn't feel rushed. Food was excellent. Couldn't fault it. Would highly recommend

Lovely evening spent celebrating our wedding anniversary at the Barns. It was fairly quiet when we were there. The food was excellently presented and tasted gorgeous. Prices for each course were remarkably reasonable for the quality. My wife had the lamb rump with couscous which she enjoyed very much while I had the pan seared rump steak which was delicious. We thought that the service was a bit on the slow side but it didn't really matter as we were enjoying the evening so much. We can't wait for another opportunity to go back to the Barns.

We had a most lovely afternoon tea celebrating my granddaughters 21st birthday. The staff couldn't have been more helpful, and the food was great (even had a doggy bag to take home!) lovely views over the River, and it was peaceful and relaxing.To crown it all we were presented with a bottle of bubbly-which was a pleasant surprise! All in all, a great way for the family to spend a couple of hours. Would thoroughly recommend it.
