THRIVE is a social bar located in the heart of Midtown Memphis. Our goal is to provide a unique experience in which our guests THRIVE in a relaxed atmosphere with great food and music. For parties of six (6) or more please give us a call @ 901-249-3927 to make reservations. Our tapas-style menu features the best in American cuisine. It was a nice. It was me & my friend 1st time going there. I give it 3 stars. In the front they had a bunch of cones blocking the parking spaces. I asked security why. He said because of VIP. That was crazy. So you have to park in the back or on the street. Then I had reservations at 7 PM. No was at the front to greet us. So we seated ourselves. When we sat down then said we had to move. Because the table is reserved for larger people in their parties. So we sat in the booth which was nice. The food was delicious. The ambience was great. They had hookahs there. The drinks was ok. Our waitress was nice. I feel like they charge high on your order. I had fish & grits. That was $22. I had my drink which was $17. Then I see on the bill they charge $7.87 for gratuity. At the end my bill was like $51. Not expecting it to be so high. So if you come here expect to pay $50 and up.

Had a reservation for Saturday August 24,2024 at 12:00p.m. Thrive did not open up. I stayed until 1:00 and still no one showed up to open the business. I had a party of 10 and had to change my birthday plans at the last minute. Very unprofessional business!!!!

We had a great time! Our food was served cold:( but our waitress was soooooooooo nice and patient with us!!!(Taylor or Tyla) Everything is was very very nice!!!!

This being my first time dining at this restaurant, I was surprised that this was the old Onyx location. With that being said, I want to be fair on this review without bringing the past wonderful memories into the present. The menu was lacking. I expected more options for brunch and better ambiance for that kind of mood. The music was way too loud; so loud that my left ear started ringing and I could barely keep my thoughts together 😵‍💫 Our waitress was more than pleasant and kept coming to check on us at our table, but she was overwhelmed covering more than one section. I see that as a staffing issue and not one of the restaurants. The decor was nice and the drinks were tasty, I ordered the burger since I typically try the shrimp and grits option for brunch if a quiche or omelette isn’t available. The burger was dry and a little overcooked for my taste and the plastic utensils made it difficult to eat the breakfast potatoes that came with the brunch menu. I don’t think I’ll be returning until they get more adequate parking and more staff.

This location was for the most part a vibe. The noise level was moderate and the waitress we had was great with serving her customers. The drinks was excellent and the food was also excellent. The only issue was the chairs at the tables was to low but the booth bench was perfect and that the dress code is not strictly enforced. Overall I’ll give this place a 8 out of 10

The menu is very limited. It will take 20-30 before water is offered. The catfish was ok. Very salty. The fries was fries so can’t really messed that up. Overall I give it a 3/10. Not worth a returned visit in my opinion. Again my opinion.

Music a little bit louder than usual for a Sunday afternoon. Food and drinks were great. Our server was fantastic.
