Tick Tock Diner, an iconic symbol of the American diner with locations in both Midtown Manhattan and Clifton, New Jersey, has mastered the art of casual dining, providing customers with high quality ingredients, generous portions at a reasonable price and a comfortable, family-friendly atmosphere that keeps them coming back year after year.
The 280 seat Midtown Manhattan location opened in 1997 at 481 8th Avenue (corner of 34th Street), across the street from Penn Station. Tick Tock Diner has long been known for its American comfort food. Today, it remains true to tradition while offering more dining choices than ever before on its extensive menu, accented with Italian, Greek and Tex-Mex influences. Keeping in the diner tradition, breakfast is served all day, featuring more than a dozen omelets, farm fresh eggs any style, pancakes, Belgian waffles and French toast.

Il proprietario davvero gentilissimo, cordiale e disponibile. Il cibo buono, l'ambiente carino e soprattutto un 'ottima musica. Grazie per averci riservato il tavolo nonostante il nostro ritardo

Visited here with family on Christmas day after seeing a movie across the street. We had reservations but arrived earlier than anticipated. Were seated near the entrance in the booth. I don't recommend that table at all during the winter unless you don't mind a frigid draft blowing over you and your food while you dine. My mother and brother, who were among us, came the day before and were fine with the menu and what they ordered. According to my mother the menu changed and to the rest of us, none of us were impressed. So much so it took us a while to decide to order something. Long story short, of the 6 of us, 2 were Ok with what they ordered. The rest of us either ate half the food or more than, but as is our custom, did not bother to take the remaining home. It was assumed that the cook/chef was tired or didn't care. The waitress we had disappeared after we received our order and only returned when the check was already paid. We had to flag down another server for the check. I get that this is a Diner, but for the location, the level of service and the (lack of) quality of the food left us regretting this convenient choice. I have had better at less expensive Diners.... I should have eaten at the movie theater.

Very disappointing all around. The hostess was particularly rude. It was very crowded. The service was below mediocre and the food was too.

Made a reservation yet still had to queue. No one listened to my reservation number ans my special requirement of my sons 18th birthday. Spoiled our day to be honest. Ah well we fly back home to the uk tomorrow. Food wasn't good burger was dripping in oil. Food took ages to come. Everyone who was served after us got their food fast. The server didn't smile and seemed in a mood. Was very off putting.

It’s a solid breakfast place if you are on Times Square south. Whole group need to be there to be seated so little tricky sometimes. Food is mid to better than average and service is pretty quick
