Tigra is a laneway Wine Bar with snacks and finger food in the Sydney CBD’s Quay Quarter Lanes precinct, in the same two-level building as sibling cocktail bar Disco Pantera. More than 20 wines are available by the glass, alongside a range of aperitifs, a few house cocktails, and imported and local beers. On its food menu, Tigra does small plates that could be combined for a more substantial feed, like anchovy toast with fennel and chives, potato gems topped with creme fraiche and caviar, and grilled blood sausage with gremolata and chilli. The ground-floor CBD bar takes inspiration from Spanish artist Joan Miró, with warm tones, tile details, and eclectic artworks. Open from 12pm | Mon-Fri & 4pm | Sat

Staff were fantastic, they were attentive and informative. Venue is niche and great for catch ups, date night etc. Bit pricey but you’re in the CBD so that’s to be expected. What to expect: friendly knowledgeable staff, tasty food, good vibes, great music and a second to none location. What not to expect: great value for money, beers or a bad time. 8/10
