   We have dinner here quite often and it never disappoints. The owners are great as is the staff and service. The food is always delicious and well prepared. Absolutely one of the go to places for very good Italian food. Top dishes; Chicken Parm, Tagliatelli Vongole with Mussels, Spaghetti Mare Mare just to name a few.

    This was a place we wanted to try for a while as it gets many positive reviews. After dining there, I don't understand the hype. The entrance itself is terrifying and could actually dissuade you from setting foot inside. There isn't a bar, you just wait at the hostess stand until seated. No cocktails, just beer and an ok overpriced wine list. Chianti for $59 which can't be anymore than $17 at Total Wine. A few barely passable pinots. Service was decent. Started with salads which most of the entrees come with. They were good. I had a special, tortellini with peas, prosciutto, and a cream sauce. It was very good. My girlfriend ordered the pasta Bolognese and really should have sent it back. It lacked the finesse that you find in a nice Bolognese where you can taste the layers of flavors..bay leaf, nutmeg, carrots. This was just big chunks of hamburger mixed with pasta and really no red sauce. The other couple took it home and was going to try and resurrect it! I know it's a tough dish to get right, but a truly good Italian restaurant should be able to do it!! Too many options of Main Street Sarasota that tops here. We won't be returning.
