                        The menu is awful. They no longer have chicken salad on croissants and serve waffle fries that are soaked in grease. The steak and cheese sandwich is on bread so thick that it’s difficult to wrap your mouth around and you can’t even taste the steak and cheese. There are no good sandwich options. The wait staff is friendly and very nice.

                        Although the number of items on the menu is limited, our selections were varied and uniformly excellent. The starter of crab dip and the salads were fresh and tasty. Our pasta main courses were delicious. And service was prompt, attentive, and gracious.

                        The lobster dip was fantastic! It set the bar high for what was otherwise mediocre after that. Maybe even downhill? The small salad used as a garnish on top of our pasta dishes was weird. The flavor of the pasta sauce was not good and the penne pasta was not al dente. There was so much attention put into how the dishes were plated it felt like three separate items that just happened to be placed in the same bowl. That wounds normal because its a bowl, but the presentation was far from normal. Clearly the sauce was put in the bowl first because half of my penne pasta wasn't covered in sauce. It was like a bed of sauce garnished with pasta... and then the small salad on top of the pasta (or garnish), depending on who you ask. I would not recommend TJ's to anyone unless they're getting the Lobster Dip. I imagine there are better restaurants out there. Clearly one of our servers was training, but it was not clear which one was the trainer or trainee. They both were not confident or comfortable with different steps of service. Like asking each other for direction at different times, or giving each other direction at different times... Neither of them introduced themself.

                        Received appetizer- server said would bring plates- waited 7 minutes and asked another wait staff for plates. Braised rib sandwich bread was soggy and sloughed off. Not appealing.

                        Enjoyed lunch at TJ's before a theatre matinee downtown. Always enjoy visiting The Jefferson-such a gem! Menu had changed (seasonal) so tried the chicken salad sandwich. Very tasty!

                        For a five star hotel to have such horrible dinner service in the bar is just unacceptable. My 30 year old son said epic dinner fail. How sad. It’s an absolutely magical hotel to visit. However if you’re a 5 star hotel your bar and dining experience should reflect that
