Inspired by Kansas City’s legendary political figure, Tom Pendergast, Tom's Town Distilling Co. blends history and innovation in every glass. Our tasting room reimagines classic prohibition cocktails with a contemporary twist, featuring our award-winning spirits: Double Oaked Bourbon, Pendergast’s Royal Gold Bourbon, Double Grain Vodka, Botanical Gin, Barreled Gin, and Straight Rye Whiskey. Every cocktail, crafted by our expert mixologist, JT, is a bold, creative expression of flavor.

Join us in our inviting tasting room or explore our seasonal, revolving speakeasy downstairs for a truly unique experience. Walk-ins are welcome for both spaces if available, but reservations are encouraged. Scroll down to 'Experiences' if you would like to book our speakeasy.

If you’re interested in bringing a larger group but don’t need a private room, contact us at 816-308-2131. We cannot split checks by item, but multiple cards are accepted. Must be 21+ to enter the Tasting Room.

    Tinsel Town at Tom’s Town Nov 15th–Dec 30th Step into our 2-story holiday wonderland featuring craft cocktails, cozy décor, and festive cheer! HOURS: Mon–Thu: 4–11PM | Fri: 4 PM–12 AM | Sat: 12 PM–12 AM | Sun: 4–8 PM Seating is in our main tasting room, Pendergast Lounge, or basement speakeasy and is assigned based on availability—guests cannot choose their room. A $5 cover per person will be added to your bill. Reservations are recommended and can be made online. A 2-hour limit applies. Groups of 6+ require a credit card to book, with a 20% auto-gratuity added. Late arrivals (15+ mins) incur a $5/person fee. Walk-ins welcome if space allows. Join us for Tinsel Town magic!

                                    Enjoyed the Christmas movie themed Tinsel Town speakeasy. Sections were decorated for different Christmas movies (A Christmas Story, The Grinch, Charlie Brown Christmas, The Muppet Christmas Carol, etc.). Standard cocktails included a Christmas twist and were delicious.

                                    Everything about our experience was phenomenal. Our server, Bob, was fantastic. The drinks were amazing. They were aesthetically pleasing and tasty. 11/10.

                                    We were told that we would have our table reservation for 2 hours (which is plenty of time). However, we had to request refills on water glasses after an hour. We were checked on twice by our server in 2 hours. This made ordering difficult. Then we requested to pay…waited 30 minutes & still hadn’t been brought our tickets so had to flag down server again to ask to pay. We were there for 3 hours due to delay of getting our server to our table in timely manner.

                                    Tinsel Town was so awesome! Large variety of drink options and every drink I ordered was delicious. The burger was the star of our evening! Great Christmas atmosphere, definitely an annual must visit!

                                    I thought the drinks were TINY considering the price! I ordered the spiked hot chocolate, very boozy but barely 8oz of liquid and it was $17-18 my husband had the old fashioned it was barely 2 fingers! Pathetic pours. We ordered the deviled eggs they were yummy! The server was very attentive and good!

                                    Too expensive-not a lot of food choices. The drinks were very expensive & we got a small bowl of popcorn for $100!
