I bet those steaks were snagged from Aldi or Walmart. Talk about fatty and low-grade meat. The marbling was off the charts, practically overpowering any real taste. Eating them felt like a task, not a treat. It's a bummer when you're craving a good meal and get stuck with something so mediocre.

I have eaten breakfast many times here. The fruit plate is one of the absolute best!! Perfect fruit artfully arranged…always a treat.

Easily some of the worst food I’ve had in Chicago. The waiter didn’t even bother to ask us how it was.

Ambiance was phenomenal. Bread service with homemade pesto was great and our waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable. I ordered the tenderloin it arrived grossly undercooked and seemed to be a poor quality of meat. I did not enjoy it and did not eat it. Our waiter noticed appropriately and sent the manager to the table who seemed unconcerned and did not resolve the issue as expected.

The service here was top-notch. I would expect no less from a restaurant at a Ritz Carlton. The team was perfectly attentive and friendly. The food was…good but it lacked seasoning. Specifically salt. Everything needed some to get it to a good flavor. The gnocchi was perfectly cooked but my wife’s pasta dish was a little overcooked. The sound level was a bit high but at the end of the day this is a restaurant in the lobby of an energetic hotel. Not the biggest deal as we were not expecting soft violins and candlelight 🙂 Overall, it was a good meal but there are a lot of amazing restaurants in Chicago to try.
