                                                                    Our server was such a kind, fun and knowledgeable person. The dinner was fantastic. We loved every plate and our server guided us well w food and drink. Please tell the chefs Thankyou from us.

                                                                    The restaurant was busy and we had a rezo for 4 people but at the last minute it was just 2 of us. The hostess sat us at a lovely 4 top, rather than a small 2 top. It started the evening off great. Our server was excellent as was the food and drink!

                                                                    Let me first start out by saying that we have been to Touro for five times and had good experiences each time until now. We had dinner at Toro on Christmas Eve. My wife and I decided to share a 14 ounce ribeye, which we asked to be cooked, medium rare And charred on the outside. What we got was a barely flame kissed steak that was only about a half an inch thick and could not have been more than 10 ounces in weight. We made our Server aware of this and he took it back to the kitchen. We assumed they would just cook a new steak but shortly thereafter brought the same steak back which they had attempted to cook longer and in doing so had cooked it to medium/medium well. At this point, my father, who had joined us was done with his meal and we had not even received food that we were prepared to eat yet. At this point a manager came over to apologize and asked if they could start all over again. We were unwilling to have my father sit while he watched us eat our Christmas Eve dinner and so we declined this offer. The manager was kind enough to comp our meal which we appreciated. My wife did not eat her dinner at all and I ate my steak, but it was too thin and was not cooked the way. I enjoy steak. We chose to bypass dessert and just leave. It was a very disappointing experience and I don’t know if we will go back. The one bright point was the manager who was very kind and understanding and we appreciated his offer of comping our meal, although we would have preferred to just had the steak we ordered cooked correctly.

                                                                    Your website showed prime rib for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. We called and talked with a hostess to confirm the menu the day before arriving. Got there and there was no prime rib. Was told at the table that was a mistake and should have only said Christmas. It would have been really nice if someone would have called us back to tell us it was wrong especially after I talked to a girl and asked about the menu for Christmas Eve specifically. Had it not been a holiday where all other places were booked at that point, we would have left and gone elsewhere. However the part that disappointed us the most was after we paid our bill after being there for 1.5 hours we sat there for 10 minutes to finish our last cocktail. The manager came over and asked if he could buy us a drink. We told him no cause we were about done. He then proceeded to tell us they had a reservation for our booth and could we finish our drinks in the lounge. This really surprised us since we had not even been there for 2 hours and we were wrapping things up and told him that. He only asked if he could buy us a drink so he could move us to the bar. Thought this was a tacky way to approach us and left a bad impression on all four of us at the end of the evening on Christmas Eve. We did not go there on Christmas Eve to eat Latin food and then be rushed out that’s for sure. By the way, our waitress did a nice job serving us. Her name was Grace.

                                                                    There was no bar service for our holiday lunch. Just strange we were stuck with champagne or beer. A big miss not telling us ahead.

                                                                    My friend and I visited for breakfast before heading to the holiday market, and while the food was enjoyable, the service left much to be desired. We had a simple order, but after our meals were brought out, our waitress never returned to check on us. Another staff member eventually brought and collected our checks—around 30 minutes after we had finished eating—while we watched our waitress chatting at the register and attending to other tables. It was disappointing, as we had hoped for a better overall experience.
