   We had a great experience at Toscana chophouse! Service was excellent, and we sat against one side of the restaurant which helped with noise level. It is a pretty open environment, which would lend itself to noise if seated in middle of restaurant. The filet mignon was exceptional and cooked perfectly. The only reason I gave four star was my husbands Fra Diavlo which did not contain alot of seafood, and the angel hair pasta was clumpy. As for other apps, the calamari was delicious as was a Caesar salad and oysters. All in all a wonderful experience -costly but definitely worth it for a special treat. Ps - cannoli trio for desert although good we’re only half filled! Cappachinos were excellent! I would recommend Toscana ChopHouse (bonus: Portsmouth a great location for shopping/entertainment in same general area!)

   Great Venue! Food was very good, seasoned to perfection. Long wait for entrees, but understandable for Mother’s Day!!

   We had a wonderful dining experience. The cocktails were perfectly balanced, the appetizer was delicious and the filets were cooked perfectly. We loved the Mac and cheese, the gnocchi and the Brussels sprouts. The carrot cake was one of the best I have ever had. And all of this deliciousness came with great service. Definitely a top choice!

   The food was fantastic. We got appetizers, main dishes and family style side dishes. All 3 of us loved everything we got. The octopus appetizer was delicious. The steaks were cooked perfectly, tender and tasty. Lobster ravioli had huge chunks of lobster in them. It is expensive, but was worth it.

   It was a special night for my wife and I and we enjoyed it immensely. Great service with Ed, he’s been there for years. Perfect steaks. Pretty loud though, but to be expected on a Friday night.

   Despite really good food and service, wonderful ambiance, and a lovely decor, the noise level (mostly from unnecessary loud music) made it near impossible to have a conversation across our dinner table. The music is totally unnecessary and I'm sadly unlikely to return for another dinner.

   The ambiance is great, the service was friendly and professional, drinks from the bar were delicious. The tuna tartar was excellent. the entrees were average at best. We ordered a petite and barrel filet. Both were ordered medium rare and came out medium. The cut itself was great, but the seasoning was bland. I ordered the salmon which was very good. The potatoes were lack luster and the veggies were bland and a touch undercooked. The side of broccolini was seasoned well, but also a bit under cooked. We have tried this restaurant a few times now since they opened and have had similar experiences.
