Toulouse Café and Bar recalls a Fin de Siecle Parisian Café where you are likely to bump into friends and find yourself in conversations with neighboring tables. At first glance you will notice the bustling activity that characterizes Toulouse: wait staff with wine openers and hot plates of food, people chatting and laughing, the clink of wine glasses… the atmosphere is sophisticated and good moods are contagious. The Camombert grougeres truffle fries and chicken cordon blue were fantastic.

Not our typical experience. Waitress placed order for muscles. We asked for an appetizer she brought the meal. The fillet was cooked. Medium was ordered medium rare but had good flavor. The scallops were awful. After our dinner, the waitress didn’t come back for 25 minutes. We had to call The GM over to get a dessert. The people next to us ordered Bronzino. It took 45 minutes for them to receive their meal. Their entire meal was comped. Yes, we talked to the GM and told him that he did not have enough weight staff to handle the Mother’s Day, crowd. $250 for two people for that kind of service and that kind of meal was a complete waste.

As always, exceptional service and ambience! The true hostess with the mostest, Lay is exceptional! Tristan took fabulous care of us and of course so many friendly faces welcomed us especially Fudge and Sam! My Halibut on a bed of Ratatouille was perfectly prepared! It was a lovely brunch at one of our favorite places to be in Dallas! Thank you all for the warm welcome! TD and JD

It’s a beautiful restaurant and I loved all the GF options. Service was slow and no one ever checked after my food came if all was ok. My duck was gray however the sweet potato mash underneath was on the cold side. The crème brûlée was fantastic and I loved that the server explained it could be GF with a modification. I loved the love pianist but overall it was very loud. I can’t imagine trying to have a conversation - I was in town on a business trip and thus dining alone.

Went on Saturday before Mother's Day. Crowded and very noisy. Waiter was great. Cocktail was great. Food was meh. Halibut overcooked. Nicoise salad was marginal on a bed of spinach(?). Overall, perhaps better at a time less crowded when the kitchen set up equipped to handle. Doubt if we return however. $190 for marginal doesn't seem worth it.

Had a Mother’s Day lunch date with my son. We were seated promptly and had good service. They were really busy on Saturday at 1:45 pm due to the holiday. Our Boulangerie arrived promptly and good thing we ordered pastries because our entrees took about 45 minutes! All delicious though and we’ll be back.

Went for Sunday brunch - had reservation so no problem there, but place was packed. Nice ambience overall. I liked my food/wife said hers was average/two guest were +/- on their entrees. Wine is pricey & small pours, but high end selection if you don't mind the $$. Has good potential, but they definitely need more wait staff/maybe kitchen too. The food was very slow to show up & our waiter apologized more than once. She did comp us dessert which was the highlight of our meal. I'd be willing to give it another try, but wife nixed that idea.

As always, Toulouse never disappoints! The food is always sensational. Sam is a fantastic server and always welcomes us back like we are his only guests!
