   We have been here many times. The food is amazing, the service is great and we leave planning our next meal there. Thank you Oleg and Rina! Best place in town.

   We wanted something different. We opted for Traktir. Every dish was amazing. From the salad to the mains, to dessert. We highly recommend this restaurant.

   Food was good. Ordered stroganoff. Would have been better with noodles and sour cream. Liked hot tea and eggplant.

   Very pleasant evening. We had a good salad of tomatoes, cucumbers and onions. The tomatoes were as good as can be expected at this time of year. The Pelmeni was excellent as was the chicken snitchzal and the Steak Shasliki. My companions had martinis to start and I had a very good Cabernet Sauvignon that I brought. As we needed more wine we had some Cabernet from the restaurant that compared pretty well to the wine I brought. It was recommended by the server. They seem to have a good wine buyer as the wines that I have gotten there are quite good and reasonably priced.a It is nice to have good Eastern European Restaurant nearby.

   Solid choices for authentic Russian and Ukrainian fare. Prices are very high, but it's worth it for the occasional visit.

   Lamb chops were delicious. Chicken schnitzel cooked perfectly. Beef Stroganoff more like a dry stew than the way I make it with sour cream but was tasty. Beet & walnut appetizer spread very good as was the eggplant . Next time I’ll order the Borscht. Service excellent. Love the cozy bistro atmosphere. We will be back for sure

   I have ALWAYS given this place 5 star ratings, but this last visit left me wondering if I'll ever go back. This saddens me as I've NEVER had a bad meal here, until last weekend. My partner ordered the pork chops on my suggestion. I had them once and they were truly some of the best I've EVER had. He had me try a bite. I guess he should have sent them back in hindsight: DRY and TASTELESS. WAY overcooked. He took one home, but when we got home, he said, "I can't eat this" and threw it out. I was SHOCKED how different it was from the time I had them. I ordered the chicken shashlik, but it wasn't the same: this was more of a kebab style chicken: larger chunks, not smaller like before. That being said, it tasted great. The Darnitsky salad was very good, the drinks were superb and the Napoleon cake is ALWAYS delicious. Our server, Tim, was top-notch. The bad part (other than the pork chop)? A few hours later, we both had stomach aches. Thank you Pepto Bismol, but this too made me sad. Not sure was caused us to get sick, but it was definitely something we ate here as we both were fine before going in. Again, this saddens me as I LOVED Traktir and we ate here quite a few times. Just not sure if we'll be back (probably not).

   really lovely and kind service and wonderful authentic Eastern European food. Best borscht I’ve had since I was a kid, and wonderful dumplings that are handmade by the owner. Super delicious chicken blintzes… If you are Eastern European, and missing the tastes of home, or grew up in an Eastern European household and miss the food of your childhood don’t miss this spot.
