Trani’s Dockside, is a new waterside restaurant launched by one of the port town’s best known restaurant families. The restaurant was able to hold a soft grand opening on May 16, the 98th anniversary of the opening of the original Trani’s Majestic Cafe that opened in 1925 in downtown San Pedro.

We had to go to San Pedro and decided to find a lunch place. Hadn’t been to San Pedro in a while. We decided on a brunch menu at Trani’s Dockside. We were greeted warmly and got our table. Katheryn our server was so friendly and happy. We order the scallops, Sea Biscuits, fish sandwich and Chicken Milanese and Romaine. The scallops were delicious. So fresh and bright. Had lime, cashew and dollop of coconut air (foam). The combination of flavors was delicious. The Sea Biscuits was Biscuits with Clam Chowder poured over it. It was also delicious. The fish sandwich was on a crispy ciabatta roll. Loved the crunch. The salad had a nice fresh buttermilk dressing and fresh romaine and frisée. It’s so nice when a restaurant is as good as we hoped and the service top notch. Would love to see what the dinner service is like.

We went for a birthday and they were so thoughtful in all that they did. From a handwritten note to a birthday dessert. They explain the menu well and the food was amazing.

We just loved our special evening out at Trani’s Dockside and they gave us such a great table to start the evening off and then everything else was amazing drinks, wine and food and we look forward to the next time there.

Went for lunch and had the little fisherman swordfish sandwich with home made chips. By far the best swordfish sandwich I’ve had! Ambiance is great- a bit loud during lunchtime. Staff very helpful!

Appetizers, raw, were great. Everything else was bitter or bland, including soups and main dishes. Ambience is incredible, so was Dominique, the server, but the food left a lot to be desired. I’d recommend bringing your own sugars and salts for proper flavoring, unless you like bitter or bland food…

The food was amazing. It was delicious and our waitress Dominique was very attentive and efficient. Thank you so much for giving us a wonderful experience.

Dockside is awesome! Great cocktails and delicious food. The squash blossoms are phenomenal! Homemade ricotta cheese is so good! Great new addition to the San Pedro harbor.

Had a great luncheon with three friends to celebrate a birthday. As usual the food was just fabulous and they were so sweet. Put birthday card at the table for our friend Lynne and send out a dessert for her. Love Trani’s Dockside
