Chef Luciano Canova was born in 1949, on a small farm just outside of Rome, Italy. Chef Luciano grew up with his parents & grandparents where good food, using the freshest of ingredients, was always a staple. His passion for food was instilled in him as a small child in his home and led him to attend the prestigious Culinary Institute of Italy. After graduating, Luciano worked all around the world perfecting his craft in places like Switzerland, Germany, and on a luxury cruise line. 

The Torre Restaurant Group family of restaurants has grown to serve customers throughout Southern New England with authentic Italian food. We have eight locations, all offering different ways to explore the many tastes of Italy! Our newest location here in Mansfield, is the first location that merges all our dining concepts into one. We look forward to serving and welcoming Torre Restaurant Group to the Mansfield Community.

Service was very good and a nice atmosphere but the meal we had I would say was mediocre. We were looking forward to going there for the first time. We ordered calamari and it was uninspired at best; dry, tough and had just regular cocktail sause with it. Not even a nice marinara. My wife ordered the lamb special, which turned out to be $55, and it was a little tough, especially for that price. Dessert was good and the bread they give you at the table is excellent. Overall a mixed experience. Worth trying but not sure we will return.

Our server was TERRIFIC! Great knowledge of the menu, gave us some amazing suggestions, always checking in to see if we needed anything, and right on top of keeping our drinks full. The food was outstanding, especially the burrata board, it’s a must order! We had a party of 6, 4 of which were kids ages 2-16 and they all loved their meals.

The parking was a little tight due to a function. We had excellent service, the shrimp scampi, and the steak gorgonzola special were both excellent. We took dessert home. Perfect night.

Met another couple for dinner. We had an app that was a special with fresh meats and cheeses and veggies, very good! Had a couple specials as entrees too. Two of us had the chicken and risotto dish, we both loved it! So delish! Neither of us finished so we took leftovers home. One of us had chicken piccata and he really enjoyed it! And lastly a surf and turf was had! Another Amazing meal! Believe it or not, we still had coffee and dessert. Again, all enjoyable although I would say the GF carrotcake was a bit dry. We will definitely be back!! Our waiter was spot on with everything! A true pleasure!

Me and my family frequent Trattoria at least once a month. The management, hostesses, and servers are all exceptional. There’s one server in particular, Andy, who is really wonderful. My son Matthew has Alopecia and Andy goes out of his way to make him feel special. we always leave there with a wonderful feeling in full bellies. The food is amazing, everything from their pizza to their pumpkin raviolis to their carbonara- Highly recommend!

I came in with a party of 6 I asked to sit in the back of the restaurant to be away from the cold at the entrance and it’s a second time they sat us again at the entrance . Waitress was not so friendly. Was my friend’s first time visiting the restaurant. Too bad wasn’t seated in more comfortable and cozy atmosphere. But the food is amazing.

Have gone out dinner for years to different places on NYE. Clearly this was overbooked and understaffed. Waited to get drinks due to lack of glasses. Never got them until after our appetizers came. Had to ask for silverware and then for the table to be cleared. The dinners came out immediately after appetizers. Overall I would not recommend trattoria Romano for a holiday
