Defined not by a specific cuisine, but by a place - Nova Scotia - Tribute sources the best local ingredients to pay homage to authentic, impactful dishes with international influences, showcased through live fire and charcoal cookery in an open kitchen-to-dining room. With a fun and elevated approach to East Coast hospitality, Tribute is open for dinner Wednesday through Sunday, offering a chef’s tasting menu and wider options a la carte, paired with nimble wine and cocktail lists. Tribute stands to be my favorite new restaurant thus far in the halifax area. Like I've stated in the past, I experience a lot of restaurants around the area, and Tribute is one that perfects all levels of service. Food is always top notch, every bite is flavorful. Service is always perfect from the "welcome back" to the "we look forward to seeing you again" your made to feel welcomed and enjoyed. Even when I was 22 mins late for my reservation, I was not felt rushed. The three men that took care of us, the host, server and mixologist each coming to see how our experience was going. The atmosphere is perfect, even when it's full and live with chatter and the kitchen is roaring the atmosphere does not feel over whelming like alot of the other restaurants around that sardine thier guests. Tribute is just that, to a dining experience labeled with excellence. See you folks again soon!

Great food. Tuk tuk chicken was great and best pasta Ive ever had. Staff is very knowledgeable and attentive.

We had the bread to share delicious, I had the Scallop dish, it was small but delicious and surprisingly filling. My husband had the steak and it was delicious. Our server (cannot remember her name) was extremely knowledgeable, recommended some fantastic wines. Love the atmosphere, we will definitely be back!!!

My wife and I were a bit disappointed when we tried to get reservations (our fault for doing it last minute!) and discovered there were no tables available, but there was an early “counter seating” spot available so we took it. That was a good decision because it turned out to be a memorable experience! The counter seating is essentially like bar seating (and the stools have nice, comfortable backs) but you are directly in front of the kitchen. We were both fascinated by the cooking and plating process. How that number of people can move around a small kitchen without bumping into each other is beyond me! Chef Bebbington and his crew were fascinating to watch, and all did their jobs superbly. My wife opted for the Chef’s Tasting Menu and I had a Tuna Tartare dish to start followed by the Denver Steak. All the dishes were unique, featured many local ingredients and nicely blended visual, texture and taste in complimentary ways. The wine pairings that my wife had (and generously shared with me) were well done and appropriate. Halifax certainly punches above its weight when it comes to fine dining and Tribute is a welcome addition to the culinary scene.
