We had an outstanding anniversary celebration at Trulucks. We were greeted warmly by the hostess and were seated at a very nice roomy table. The ambience was nice, with tasteful holiday decor. Curtis rendered outstanding service and the level of attention was just right. Nothing was rushed and all of the menu items arrived with perfect timing. Points of service were adhered to without any of the stuffiness that can sometimes accompany that. The food was prepared with great skill and the flavors were on point. In honor of our anniversary, we were presented with a table side Baked Alaska which was divine. Every member of that staff thanked us as we left, and felt very genuine. We don’t get to have dinners like this very often, so it was so nice for the experience to really deliver. We loved it. Thank you to Trulucks and the wonderful staff! Will definitely visit again as soon as we are able.

This was one of the best dining experiences I've had in Austin. I gave them a four out of five on value. However, I think it is important to note that they have a large variety of cold water seafood that is different from what many places in Austin carry. The staff was fantastic and very attentive. I have no complaints about this restaurant and I will definitely return.

Trulucks sets a high bar time and time again! such a wonderful evening, amazing stone claw crab and incredible service. I cannot recommend Trulucks enough! Wonderful food, ambience, and staff.

Truluck's is a favorite "date night" destination, especially when we have an event downtown. The food and service are always wonderful and the staff does their best to make any night memorable. This was our first time sitting at the more intimate upstairs bar and it was a nice break from the more busy (holiday season) downstairs bar. Minia (sp?) took great care of us and the other 2 couples dining at the bar while juggling bartending for a large Christmas party. As good as the service is, the seafood is even better. I now judge all shrimp cocktails by Truluck's and have yet to have a better one. I know this is a simple dish, but the quality of the shrimp and prep tell a lot about a seafood restaurant. Everything else was just as lovely and was a perfect way to start our evening.

I had an early reservation at 4:30pm to try the Tru 92 menu for a party of three. I arrived about 25 minutes early and went into the restaurant. The hostess was rather rude and told me I had to wait outside because they were not open yet. Why was the door unlocked? Her attitude was just rude. I asked her if she knew of a place nearby she suggested I go and she just looked stupified. I left and went to a charming place across the street. If I was not meeting people at Truluck's later, I would not have even come back. Otherwise once my full party arrived, everything was fine and service and food was good. I spent $350 for 3 people. Having a less than cordial hostess is not ok.
