Just minutes from downtown Ipswich, the Turner Hill Grille Room is located inside the historic Elizabethan-style Mansion at Turner Hill. The setting provides a unique ambiance and relaxed dining experience. Our rotating menus feature a variety of locally sourced meats, seafood and herbs from our on-site garden, providing options for everyone in your party to enjoy.                                     Really disappointing experience. Joined for the Valentines Day prix fixe dinner. Ordered and received appetizers promptly, but then proceeded to wait over an hour and ten minutes for any of the staff to come back into the room to check on us - no drinks, no water refill, etc. Our server came by and asked if we got any of our food yet, and then within 5 minutes was back with our main course. Another 45 minutes went by without anyone coming by to check in or clear plates (we were in a main room and everyone around us was expressing similar dissatisfaction). They came back with dessert and to clear plates at the same time, then after another 30 came back with a check that was blank. Had to track someone down to correct the check. The check had a 10% service fee and 10% admin fee. For a nearly $300 dinner for two (with no drinks), I expected a whole lot more. No apology or acknowledgement of the poor service from any of the staff. As parents of 4 kids under 6yo, we don't get many opportunities to go out together. Between the mediocre meal, the 3 hours of mostly waiting for service, and the lack of any acknowledgement, we certainly won't be going back.

                                    Hi Seth. I'm sorry to hear about your experience. We apologies for the slow service, normally on a night like this we would have had 4 servers working but due to a call out we were down one. This is no excuse, and we apologies that no one checked on you. We strive to make sure all guest are satisfied and happy, and we strive for high level of service. Let us know if we could rectify this situation and hope you will try us again.

                                    The food was perfectly made and delicious. The service was slow and they never came back to ask us if we wanted another drink. We actually asked for the dessert to go because we were on a time crunch and, because the service was slow, weren’t able to sit and enjoy it. The mansion itself was incredibly difficult to find, there are no lights and barely any signs. The mansion itself was pretty. The ambience was nice and the noise level was OK. The price was very expensive but then again it was Valentine’s Day.

                                    Asian Food night was excellent. PuPu platter was full of tasty bites. Lo Mein/ Rice station was outstanding. Entrees and dessert delicious.

                                    We live right up the street on Topsfield Road. We did not know you were “open to the public” until last night.”! Saw you on OpenTable and booked immediately. Everything was fantastic: The food —the service — the atmosphere — Paige was our waitress— she was fabulous — she was attentive and quite tuned-in to all of our needs. We will definitely return —cozy warm “club-like” atmosphere —-we loved it!!!!

                                    Excellent food, great service from the staff. Both my wife and I had the beef tenderloin, cooked perfectly. Very pleasant experience would highly recommend.
