Twin Owls Steakhouse at The Taharaa Mountain Lodge

For the past two decades, the Twin Owls Steakhouse has offered the premiere fine dining and event experience in the Estes Valley. Now, as we look forward to the next twenty years, we invite you to join us in our new home at the Taharaa Mountain Lodge, and to experience the best that Estes Park has to offer.
Our menu has been carefully crafted to please the entire family, and includes a broad selection of steaks, wild game and seafood, along with a kids’ menu and an irresistible dessert selection. We also offer an extensive wine list, local craft beers and hand-crafted cocktails.

Had the fish special (Chilean sea bass) and the New York strip. Both were cooked perfectly and delicious

Environment was great! service was very good. we had the filet mignon which was coked just right and tasted wonderful. We loved the music. will definitely be back when we visit Estes Park again.

We had a nice dinner to celebrate an engagement, but when I made the reservation, I asked if Twin Owls did anything special for a big special occasion as such, and they responded, “not really because everyone is celebrating here.” I get that, but it would have been nice to have a tiny cheap champagne toast, dessert, something. Just because we chose a nice restaurant to celebrate at should not discount the magnitude of a big, special occasion. As a result, the dinner definitely had a less special vibe than we were hoping. If it’s a cost issue, mark everything up a little bit to provide your guests a more special experience. I guarantee that more people would return to celebrate if you were to do this.

We absolutely love coming here. We come up to Estes every year for our anniversary and this is our go to spot. They treat us so well here. The food is great and the ambience is lovely.

We visited for Thanksgiving, and it was on of the worst experiences and meals my family has ever had. Service was poor, food was not cooked (rock hard carrots a steak knives couldn’t even cut, apple pie that was ice cold and not cooked, etc). The view was great but the rest was terrible.

The Turkey was pre-fabricated turkey similar to lunchmeat, not real carved turkey breast. Gravy was way too thin and skimpy. For that kind of price, he should really be getting a real roast turkey sliced. Apple pie was way underdone not a flaky crust. Apples were not cooked enough.. Bread pudding for some reason was dry like it was done way ahead of time and not done like they normally do on normal nights. I was a chef for over 20 years and fine dining and we put a lot of effort into Quality for Thanksgiving. That’s where our dinner was disappointing.. Stuffing, sweet potatoes and Caesar were good. It’s just hard when the quality of the turkey isn’t there kind of ruins everything else.
