Ulu Kitchen by Merriman is an ocean front restaurant offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner service featuring local ingredients and recipes created by chef Peter Merriman.

We have indoor and outdoor dining options, with a full bar, and the most prime dining views in all of Ka'anapali. The breakfast menu features classic favorites like Eggs Benedits, omelettes, pancakes, as well as some unique dishes like the cure (breakfast ramen) and our Hawaiian chilaquiles.

Lunch features our signature smash burger, fresh ahi tuna poke bowl, tempura battered fish and chips, and a fresh local veggie wrap.

Dinner has a seafood forward menu featuring Ahi Sashimi, Grilled Tako, Scallops, Mahi Mahi, Shrimp and Lobster Ravioli. From the land we offer a USDA Prime Beef Filet Mignon, Snake River Farms Wagyu Beef Cheeseburger, and Maui Nut Venison Loin.

I feel that this restaurant is overpriced for what you get and the service was lacking. Our server wanted to take our food order before even asking if we wanted drinks or starters. When we dine at a very nice restaurant, we like to take our time and not feel like we’re being rushed through so that we can turn a table over for the next person. Our bill was about $400 after tip for four people (one child’s menu order and 3 adult menu orders). I felt disappointed upon leaving knowing that we had spent that much and really didn’t have a great of an experience. I’m happy to spend $400 on dinner, but I want to feel like it was worth it. I’ve spent that much plenty of times and said I can’t wait to go back to that place, but in this case I don’t know that I would ever return.

This was our 1st time eating here. The views and ambience are excellent. Randi - our server was 1 of the best servers I have encountered. She was friendly and thoroughly explained all the specials. The Thanksgiving special was very filling and the food was hot when delivered. Overall great experience. Will be back when in Maui.

Over price for food ok . No really impressed on the food impressed on the price. the lobster appetizer, They said it was 8-9 oz of meat. Was like 4 oz.

Hostess needs proper training and to no t seat those without reservations first. Not much on menus, especially for picky ones. Server seemed distracted. Food was good!

Excellent food. The crab cakes were an amazing appetizer. I got the surf and turf duo (filet and lobster ravioli.) perfect!

Incredible view; drinks are great and server was excellent. The food was just okay; very expensive for what it was. $30 for a burger and fries. $57 for five scallops. No live music; so many other places have that. I wouldn’t go again.

Service was absolutely fantastic. Our waitress was incredibly attentive, knowledgeable and proactive. The coconut shrimp was a standout dish for us

Food was excellent and the service was as well. From check in to departure. Staff was very friendly. Cocktails were on point.
