                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        We’ve visited Uncle Jack’s quite a few times in the last five years or so. I’ve noticed a steady decline in their food and service yet they’re still charging the same high end prices. We gladly paid it in the past because the food was incredible and the staff was amazing too. However, our visit last night sealed the deal for us on not going back. The table and the cheap laminated menus were sticky, my husband ordered a few old fashions and they all were poorly balanced, my wet aged filet was poorly cooked, my husband’s lobster tail had a green broccoli looking meat in it that the waitress took back and didn’t check to see if we received the replacement (which was drowned in butter and over cooked), and the cauliflower side we ordered was bland and also drowned in sauce. These are the things we’ve always ordered and loved until the last few visits. This used to be something we’d treat ourselves to on date nights, but I guess we need to find a new restaurant.

The shrimp must have been spoiled. It was a horrible all evening event. The food used to be amazing. I guess not so much anymore. The place was empty at 1 pm on a Saturday. I don't recommend that you go here any longer.

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        We specifically reserved a TABLE on the INDOOR area of the restaurant for my son's 20th birthday. When we arrived, they took us to the outdoor patio and told us we couldn't sit inside because they had booked a large party that took up the entire inside and tried to seat our party of 6 adults at a round table sized for 4 people. When we were disagreeable, they said they could put us in a booth that again, was not appropriately sized for a party of six. We asked for the larger booth towards the back and were told there was a reservation already for that one..... what about our reservation for inside???? We asked for a manager who immediately was happy for us to sit at the larger booth and tried to be accommodating only to have a young hostess snap at him that we couldn't sit there because another party was coming for it. It was ridiculous! All this time, my entire family is standing around in the area feeling awkward and like a burden with other patrons staring at us. Our service was good (Cass is an amazing waitress!) but our food came out sporadically and my husband's side dish never arrived until he was almost finished eating but they took care of it, so I guess it was okay. Overall, an incredibly disappointing experience for what was supposed to be such a special occasion for my son. The 2 35-day dry-aged steaks that were ordered were phenomenal and everyone else enjoyed their food, but the experience was definitely jaded from the start by the attitude of the hostess and the fact that were put outside when we had specifically requested inside because of two in our party that are always cold. It was the way we were treated that was so disappointing. And when you drop over $500 in one visit, you just expect better. This was our second visit with the first being absolute perfection. Hoping this was a fluke and not something to expect should we decide to go back.

If you love meat, this is definitely a great place to add to your agenda. Service was very fast and attentive, with a great view on the patio of the Gas South Arena area.
