The Union Oyster House, located on the Freedom Trail, near Faneuil Hall, enjoys the unique distinction of being America's oldest restaurant. This Boston fixture, housed in a building dating back to Pre-Revolutionary days, started serving food in 1826 and has continued ever since with the stalls and oyster bar, where Daniel Webster was a constant customer, in their original positions.

                                                                                  Il local me merita sicuramente una visita, essendo un pezzo di storia. Il servizio poi è eccellente, tutti gentilissimi e disponibili. Il cibo è buono. I prezzi sono parecchio alti, ma ultimamente è così ovunque quindi forse siamo nella media di un buon ristorante di cucina americana. Da provare.

                                                                                  Siamo stati serviti da una addetta molto scortese. Abbiamo ordinato ostriche, di buona qualità, e un’aragosta grande senza sapore, con pochissima polpa, svuotata e ripiena solo di pangrattato. Troppo caro per non aver mangiato praticamente nulla e bevuto una birra a testa. Peccato aver rovinato un posto storico facendo lavorare personale non esperto, e nemmeno educato, e servendo cibo di bassa qualità.
