                                                  We love dining at Metro Wine Bar, Grey Sweater, Paseo Grill and had put Vast on hold because we had been told it’s just okay. Unfortunately what we’ve been told is accurate and you truly are just paying for the view. We wanted to try something new so we booked the the 5 course chefs tasting and pairing at Vast. When we arrived upstairs, no one greeted us - I had to ask the hostess if we needed to check in. We had arrived a few minutes early, but were seated after our reservation time and then waited at our table an additional 10 minutes before anyone greeted us or brought water. It felt very odd. Most courses of our dinner were fabulous, didn’t care for then escargot or lamb chop - both too tough. Our main server was fantastic and we had great conversation, but service was chaotic with numerous servers bringing dishes. Never saw the chef, would have been a nice touch for a chefs tasting dinner (for example we interact with Chef Black at Grey Sweater). Overall, I am glad we experienced a dinner service at Vast, but we will not be back - better to dine at one of the previously mentioned places for better food, service and ambience.

Maybe a more generic appetizer menu at a more affordable price would attract more food purchases. The drinks were delicious and served in super cute glasses. The ambiance was great, the views were great, and service was excellent. Great experience overall!!
