We truly enjoyed our dinner at Vela - we picked this restaurant after seeing it listed in OpenTable "5 restaurants to book in december". The ambiance is fun, including the furniture, the dim lights and the music; the servers were all knoweldgeable, attentive and friendly. The food was great and so were the cocktails. We particularly enjoyed the polpo, the tacos al pastor, the pork belly, and the churros. But everything was delightful. And the price is very reasonable for a high-end restaurant.

Really good food, reasonably priced. Great ambiance, dj was great and the music wasn’t too loud. They need to put a heavy curtain or something over the front door to stop the bitter cold blowing through the restaurant. The Coco de Oro is a really well balanced cocktail. Overall a really good restaurant for a date or with a group of friends where you actually want to talk to each other.

On a recent drive into the city, we stumbled upon a gem of a restaurant that exceeded all our expectations. From the moment we walked in, the ambiance was breathtaking—warm, inviting, and beautifully designed. It felt like we had entered a place where every detail had been thoughtfully curated to create the perfect dining experience. The food? Incredible. Every dish we ordered was bursting with flavor and presented like a work of art. It was hands down some of the best food we've ever had. From the appetizers to the dessert, everything was cooked to perfection, and we couldn’t stop raving about each bite. The service was just as exceptional. Our server was not only attentive but so much fun to talk with, adding a personal touch to the evening that made the experience even more memorable. Everything about the night—from the food to the service to the atmosphere—was flawless. It was one of those nights where everything was a vibe, and we can’t wait to go back when we visit next.

Absolutely DELICIOUS! Everything we got was better than the last. Our server was so great too and made awesome suggestions. Beautiful ambiance as well. Highly recommend!

Ambiance was great as well as service. However, I don’t personally believe the food was the best. We had the al pastor and gobernador tacos; felt like they needed “that extra kick.” Saw many great reviews about the empanadas; they were mid! Drinks were decent. Our favorite was the tamarind one. Dessert! The churros looked great, but again, not impressed. Overall, just an okay place. Would we be back? Probably just for the drinks and awesome service!
