My family and I had a wonderful Christmas Eve dinner at the Velvet Glove Restaurant. Rita, who served our meals and answered all our questions regarding which wines paired best with our entrees was exceptional! She truly made my family and I feel special and well taken care of. The food was absolutely amazing. I asked for my tenderloin to be prepared medium rare and it was perfect! The lobster bisque was to die for…. out of this world. My youngest daughter and I shared the lobster fondue and we both agreed it was delicious. And then the chocolate fondue dessert….. wow! This is definitely something I would love to do again. Thank you for the wonderful memories! And thank you Rita for suggesting the live interactive dinner …… it is on my list to try next!

The service was poor - we never get offered any more hot water for our tea during the entire tea service. The allergy we noted on the reservation and advised each server about was forgotten three times. The food lacked any flavor. Very expensive for such a disappointment. We were ready to make this a several times a year tradition, instead we will continue our search for a good afternoon tea in the city.

We loved the Fairmont’s Nutcracker Brunch, a great experience all around. All those creatives who produced the brunch and table settings are to be highly commended. The staff were all so friendly and attentive, especially the host who seated us.

The flavours in each of the items on the tea tiers were so vivid & fresh. It was a pure bliss to enjoy! The festive music was a perfect background & the decorations made our Nutcracker Tea the best kickoff for the Christmas season!!

I treated my best friend and I to the Nutcracker Tea and it was an absolute delight. We both decided that it would be a yearly tradition from here on out. The food was delicious! My friend is allergic to gluten and the kitchen planned ahead and had a lovely tea all ready for her. The table was beautiful and the service was 10 stars. This is definitely a great way to start your Christmas festivities.

We had Rita as our server and she was excellent!! She was very helpful and attentive and went above and beyond. She answered all of our questions. The decorating for the Nutcracker was fantastic. Beautiful table settings. The selection of tea was superb. It would be nice if you sold a variety package of tea bags to purchase for ourselves or for Christmas gifts for others. They were delicious. And the food was all delicious. The table was nice and spacious as two guests had mobility issues. Thank you for accommodating us for that. We had a great time and will definitely get back. I went to Alice in Wonderland either my daughter in laws and really enjoyed that one as well. The only complaint was that the music was way too loud and ut was hard to hear our conversation at the table,. We Thank you for a Wonderful enjoyable time and we wish you a Wonderful holiday season.
