Our renowned Victorian tradition of “Afternoon Tea” under the historic banyan tree invites guests to indulge in a variety of tropical tea blends accompanied by a selection of delicious finger sandwiches, scones and delicate pastries.

Please Note we are a cashless restaurant. We only accept credit cards or room charges as form of payment. A 20% gratuity will be added to all parties of 6 or more and for parties of 5 or more that request split checks.
We kindly ask to refrain from balloon decorations to ensure the views for others are respected. Guests are welcome to bring their own cake/dessert for an additional fee of $7 per person.

The Veranda at the First Lady of Waikiki is collaborating with Native Hawaiian-owned fashion brand, Kahulale‘a for a special Afternoon Tea event. The first 50 guests to order the Royal Tea set will receive a special Kahulale‘a gift. (Choose "Royal Tea" when booking to reserve your limited tea set!) In addition, on that day only, tea guests can receive 20% off their purchase at the Kahulale‘a store located at the Moana Surfrider. (Must show receipt for discount.) Following the tea, guest are invited into the Grand Salon for a photo area, a "create your own tea blend" bar, a fashion show and more!

We enjoyed our stay but were disappointed to be charged $23 for a mocktail that was suppose to REPLACE the alcoholic drink that was included in the pre fix set due to me being pregnant. I have never experienced such an expensive mocktail nor was I ever upcharged by downgrading an alcoholic drink to a nonalcoholic drink. Very disappointing.

Exceptional service by Kyle and his team Exquisite afternoon tea Perfectly prepared petite delights including Lobster croissant, egg salad with truffle oil, petite scones with rich mascarpone spread and a rich creamy papaya topping Lovely high quality tea selection And then there is the beautiful veranda overlooking the ocean or Banyan tree surrounded by rich foliage An experience to remember

The service and atmosphere was fabulous. However, the food served with the afternoon tea was subpar in comparison to much less expensive afternoon teas. And to previous teas had at the beach house in the past. I am never opposed to paying for good quality. This meal was far from satisfying.

Everything about the tea was excellent. Our table near the beach, the server and the food. We each ordered the First Lady and enjoyed every course. We especially like that you can ask to swap some items for others to better suit your taste. This was our second time having the Tea and we will continue to come back.

We have had high tea in other countries which were former British colonies. The quality of the high tea even in some of the old colonial asian countries is 100 times better than what this overpriced experience provides. Save your 100$/person and spend it elsewhere ! Food quality and variety were poor. The service was good.

First, thank you to restaurant manager Kala and server Daniel at the Moana Surfrider Hotel Veranda Restaurant. My requests were acknowledged and did their best to accommodated to the best of their ability. The cuisine were prepared, presented and executed professionally.

I had high expectation as it was being compared to the high tea at the Orchids! Unfortunately, it did not meet the hype. Shout out to Daniel M for a superb customer service! Food quality is mediocre. Tea choices were limited and finger sandwiches were dry. Desserts were ok at best. I enjoyed the onion rings and fries the most from their The Duke tea service. Their burger, although moist, needed seasoning on the patty. It was also busy and noisy at the time of tea service (2:15). Being out in the Veranda was quite enjoyable and the weather was breezy and pleasant. I wanted to love the experience but for the price we paid, it was not worth it!
