Vercelli Restaurant is a family run Italian Restaurant situated in the centre of Hexham, a busy market town in Northumberland. The family, all from around the Hexham area, have worked hard over the last 8 years to modernise the cocktail bar and restaurant. All the family are involved in the business, with the aim of providing a memorable experience.

Sue, Front of House Manager, enjoys working alongside the enthusiastic team who have built a relationship with their returning customers and welcoming new, with an aim to make your experience relaxing and memorable throughout.


Executive chef, Jordan, and Head chef, Scott, source the finest Italian provisions to produce high quality Italian dishes with a modern twist.

At the front of the restaurant is a small, modern cocktail bar which hosts live music nights regularly but can be enjoyed for a bite to eat or a drink any night of the week.

    Excellent restaurant week menu and meal.. hope you do it again. I will probably come back now I've tried Vercellis as don't usually do Italian food. Leisurely hour and a half meal. Perfectly paced. Service polite and attentive. A good experience. Thank you

    Excellent menu, lots of desirable dishes, friendly and prompt service, delicious food, reasonably priced. Hot on arrival, pleasant surroundings.

    Another enjoyable meal at Vercelli the honey chips are delicious. The service is always quick, the staff are very polite and helpful. Highly recommend a visit.

    Helpful and efficient staff. Freshly cooked food, wide range of choices. Good range of options . Spacious room, warm, comfortable . I requested some extra sauce for my main dish as I have some gastric issues; chef made some fresh sauce and served in minutes. Excellent service.
