Vespaio Restaurant is one of the original South Congress eateries and remains one of Austin's favorite Italian go-to's among locals and visitors. This casual dinner venue is a popular choice for date nights or evenings out with friends, seating every day at 5pm. The interior of Vespaio Restaurant is decorated with ceiling tiles, ceiling plans, vintage pendant lighting, classic table seating, a plethora of wine racks and vibrant accent walls.In addition to a full bar menu, Vespaio Restaurant offers a lengthy selection of mouth-watering and flavorful authentic Italian dishes. Menu items include carpaccio, mixed seafood stew, lasagna, mussels, calamari, spaghetti carbonara, chocolate hazelnut cake, panna cotta and green pasta with shrimp. Everything on the menu is sourced locally and prepared in-house, including the pasta, bread and pastries.

Delicious food and excellent service. We always enjoy dining at Vespaio. My only complaint is the noise level. It’s difficult to have a conversation due to the noise. Otherwise another great night at Vespaio.

We love love love this place! We sat at the bar and were in the middle of all the action. Dry January turned into damp, January because I didn’t want to miss one of their amazing martinis! Atmosphere is lively and the service and food are great! We had the Cacio E Pepi, the Ciopinno and the Burrata appetizer and the Chopped Brocolli salad. Wonderful! I’m not a big fan of garlic and they happily accommodated me. This place is old school Austin and we love it! The employees all work together here to make your experience amazing!

We had a lovely meal, our waitress helped us when we asked for suggestions. We loved everything she suggested. We shared many items in order to try several things. We left full and very happy.

Another fantastic meal at Vespaio. Food was expertly prepared, service was attentive and well informed and ambiance impeccable. Almost 30 years on, still one of Austin’s finest restaurants.
