   Valentines Day was very disappointing in lots of ways. We try to be mindful of the fact that they were very busy and overwhelmed but for a set menu at $80+ per person and an included 20% gratuity, we expected a lot more. They could have planned it better because everyone’s reservation was delayed and you could tell they tried to pack the restaurant for maximum pax without thinking of spaciousness and comfortability. To start, we were seated 30 minutes late for our 8:30 reservation then it took another half hour for the servers to take our order. Once our order was taken, the appetizers took a while to come out and once they were served, it was cold (fried calamari). Putting that aside, by the time we were served our entrees, it was already 10:30pm and the food was not good. My filet mignon had no seasoning or sear, and the mashed potatoes and vegetables were bland. After informing the server, the owner/manager came to our table and apologized saying that the food served to me was for someone else that requested it to be that way and they would remake it correctly and offered us free drinks but at this point, we were already tired and the restaurant was packed like sardines so we declined, paid the full bill with included 20% tip, and decided to take our food to go. It was my first valentine’s day with my girlfriend so it was a very disappointing experience and I really wish I had just chose a different place to spend my money.

   The service is terrible. There was nobody in there and we had to wait to place our order and get our check. I was there recently and was argued both times where I was told to sit, when nobody was in the restaurant. My friend went into the restaurant on Valentines Day, coming from his wife’s radiation treatment. When she was told she had to take her hat off, or she couldn’t stay. They left! It’s a shame because the food was excellent, but way too expensive! I know it was Valentine’s Day, but my bill was $205 with tip for me and my wife. I will not be going back ever. 100 percent because of the service, especially the way they treated my friends on Valentine’s Day! I wonder if the owner approves of this behavior!

   Via Trenta continues to be one of the best and most consistent Italian restaurants in Queens.We have never had a badly prepared dish.Excellent service,wide ranging menu , specials,and reasonable wine list.We always leave with a smile !

   Lovely birthday dinner with my friends. Service was very attentive and quick. The new back room is very cozy and we were able to linger and not rush. We all enjoyed our meals - the branzino wrapped in parchment was delicious! Only complaint - turn on the heat. The back room is great but it was cold. It’s the winter so turn on and turn up the heat!

   Food,service,and atmosphere are excellent!The consistency of the cuisine is amazing,have never had a dish that was not well prepared !They will modify any dish to fit your specific request.
