Since the turn of the 20th century, afternoon tea has been a tradition at the King Edward Hotel. Throughout the
history and evolution of afternoon tea, our service has remained one of the paramount tea experiences Toronto has to offer. As with anything we do, when embracing the future of our tea, we do so with respect to the history and tradition that has made us synonymous with Tea in Toronto.

We invite you to step through our doors, pass into a world where old world luxuries become revived, and experience
the personality and charm our hotel has to offer. Chef Daniel Schick and his innovative team constantly push the

In an effort to sate even the most experienced tea palates, The Omni King Edward Hotel is proud to offer a
meticulously curated selection of premium teas from two Canadian companies: Sloane Tea Company from Toronto

Good but it would have been nice to sample a few different tea's, but only one tea offered. I thought the sandwiches were good and offered a change for something that I did not like. Would have been nice to be able to get additional. Scones and sweats were delicious

Valet parking attendant, Dave, had an excellent service and friendly. Dave parked my vehicle and retrieve vehicles in a safe and efficient manner. He provided directions to Victoria Cafe per my request. When I was in my vehicle on my way leaving, I saw that Dave was checking other valet parked vehicles as part of his duty. I said Merry Christmas and he said the same back to me. Our server, BishwarupD, was excellent and helped us during the time of Afternoon Tea. BishwarupD always had a smile on his face, knows the menu, paid attention and care about our needs and wants, a good listener, checked back regularly to make sure all needs are being met.

We were disappointed with the Nutcracker High Tea. It wasn’t served in the Victoria Restaurant but in a ballroom with very little ambiance and uncomfortable chairs. It felt like a community centre ambiance. We have had high teas all over Canada and this was our least favourite. The sandwiches were boring and all looked the same. The desserts were infused with Christmas flavours but unfortunately they didn’t work. Macarons are my favourite but this one was awful. The scones were lovely and so was the tea. The servers were enthusiastic but unfortunately we were close to the door to the kitchen and overheard many discussions and even arguments that we shouldn’t have been exposed to. Overall we wouldn’t recommend. There are better teas for the same or lower price.

the afternoon tea experience was really underwhelming ... the room, the service, the sandwiches were all nothing special. I would have expected something more special from the Kind Eddy.

The hi-tea was very tasty. I know most hi-tea rooms also serves good coffee but the coffee even though it was expresso, did not taste good. However, I was not charged for the coffee which was a nice surprise. I did not complain to get the free coffee, I think they can tell for the fact that I left it mostly untouched. Did not expect to be placed in a ballroom style set up. It felt like a business convention and less like a cosy, Xmas hi-tea we wanted. Overall I gave it a good rating because the waitress was super polite and the food was really good.

It took 1 1/ 2 hours for our scones and desserts to be served. By then our tea was cold and even though we requested hot water, the water didn't arrive until just before we decided to leave. The room was not very festive either. The whole experience was not worth the money!!! Will not return.

Christmas high tea at the King Edward is an annual tradition that I've attended every year since 2005, with the exception of one year. The old-world charm and service is unparalleled in Toronto, likewise with the standard high tea fare. I can't recommend the King Edward high tea experience highly enough.

Very quaint and festive would recommend to everyone of all ages. Maybe some music would have been nice in the background.

$79 dollar is fair and can say good value in comparison to dt Toronto's going rate . Excellent service and lots of desert and food. The only bad things: None. If you prefer Chinese tea, their English tea may not be your cup of tea - literally.

Our server was wonderful. Ambience was lovely. Only complaint was that the sandwiches were dry. Desserts were excellent.
