The single worst experience I've had in 10 years in Carmel. After a good dinner for 2 there, with nice live music, I decided to take some friends, one of whom was having a birthday. After we sat and ordered we waited, and waited, and waited, while others around us seated after us ate their dinners. We couldn't even get drinks, and the drinks that finally came were wrong (Mohito instead of Margarita). Then the food came at last, not with first courses first, but happenstance, with my birthday friend sitting with NOTHING while everyone else finished. And when they finally rushed her spaghetti after my complaint it was inedible, she ate one bite and left it. The owner was apologetic but so what, it was a terrible experience, and they should have warned us when seating us that they were short handed, we wouldn't have been so confused. As the host I was mortified, and unhappy about a large bill for bad food and service. At the least they should have taken her dish off, because it was perfectly clear she ate virtually none of it and didn't want to take it. Carmel has many iffy restaurants but I've never seen this level of bad service.

The staff was so friendly and the good was delicious. We highly recommend going. We will be going back next time we are in town.

My wife and I noticed this restaurant on Friday night as we were strolling Carmel-by-the-Sea. We made reservations for Saturday. This was the perfect place for us that night. We wanted a relaxed environment with a fireplace. Village Corner delivered perfectly. We sat directly next to the fireplace. My Cioppino was fantastic and ton of food for my hearty appetite. The live music was nice and the musicians were fun and polite. Will definitely be back again.

Great spot for breakfast with a large menu and delicious food. The mini croissant basket with homemade jam is my favorite. The eggs are cooked perfectly.

We love this place! Enjoyed a delicious brunch. We had a table for five on the patio with our dogs. The service was perfect, the nicest servers and very attentive. Fisal, the owner stopped and spoke to the guests at every table.

Dined with a party of 10 that included 2 children under 4. The parents were concerned about whether the restaurant would be kid-friendly. It was VERY kid friendly. And we all had a delightful experience. The staff were so kind and accommodating. Owner even stopped by several times to check on us. The food was excellent and a great value for Carmel. Chicken marsala was up with the best I've ever had. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful warm host. Great to our kiddos. Even gave my dad a hug at the end of the evening :)

If you like warm, cozy, quaint little restaurants with lots of food options to satisfy even the pickiest of eaters, this is the place for you. The owner is wonderful, and takes a personal interest in every table. I was impressed that he was aware my wife needed gluten free options, given we never told him that. He clearly either heard this from our waitress, or saw it as a note on our order. But he came by to see how we were doing and if my wife liked what she had available to her. Nothing over the top, just very nice. Will definitely come back.
