From Naples to Santa Monica to Boise: the same passion for food.

A few words from the owner:

In 1969, I arrived in Los Angeles and I immediately noticed that the food served was much different tasting than the food that my family prepared in Italy. Upon questioning the restaurant owner regarding the non-traditional meals we were serving, I was told the food must be made according to American taste.

My commitment to you: I pledge to bring an authentic Italian dining experience, demonstrating the same passion I’ve had since the beginning.

Food was outstanding. New owners, same delicious menu, more bread allowed! Restaurant had a very large party arrive before us so I thought the food service would be slower but it was not! Everything arrived quickly and fresh. Looking forward to our next visit!

We were very excited to eat here, based on a recommendation from an Italian friend. Our table was ready when we got there and we were seated promptly. However it took about 15 minutes before we were greeted. Then another 15 before we got water and bread. 25 minutes before our order was taken, then another 40 minutes before our entree arrived. The vibe was mellow so we were trying to keep an open mind though the frustration was mounting. On the first bite we looked at each other and could not believe the lack of flavor. We both ordered specials and they were bland. My pasta tasted like the sauce was made from water it was cooked in with some tomatoes thrown in. My husband had the swordfish with olives and capers. The olives were flavorless, which shocked us. All together we were there for 2 hours and were very disappointed. We won’t be back.

The food at Vincenzo Trattoria is fabulous! Everything is made from scratch and truly authentic Italian. My favorite restaurant in the Boise area!

When you walk in, you greeted by the owner, who is warm and personable. I quickly seated and our drink order was taken. Daily specials, and a brief history of the place was given to us. Recommendations for all courses were given, and the rest of the menu explained. The food was absolutely wonderful and the fresh break bread was a touch of class. Definitely recommend this place highly!

We had a delightful dinner at Vincenzo Trattoria. The food and the service were excellent and we enjoyed the homey and welcoming atmosphere. Plus great music and the bread is fabulous! This is now on our list of favorite restaurants and we look forward to our next meal there.

What a wonderful surprise dining at Vincenzo Trattoria - Idaho! We had received great recommendations from friends, and it was even better than expected. The service was perfect. The food fresh, authentic and delicious. You should dine here too for a fantastic and cozy experience.

Very disappointing! We have eaten there many times and will never go back. They are no longer serving pizza because of staff shortages. The swordfish, a chef’s special was simply awful. Bland, thin and poorly presented. Pasta dishes were unimaginative and poorly prepared. Nobody finished their meal. Calamari was very good, wine and dessert outstanding. We believe the problem is chef is out front, not back in the kitchen anymore. This is sad to see as we always loved our local Italian eatery.
