Virtue Feed & Grain is a modern American dining room and bar located near the Potomac River in Old Town, Alexandria. Our menu offers an array of original recipe, flavorful, scratch-made dishes, along with extensive selections from the bar, like handcrafted cocktails, craft and small-batch beers, and an impressive wine list. The rustic elegance of our large, two-story restaurant provides a vibrant atmosphere for any dining experience, as well as private and semi-private spaces for private events, celebrations, weddings, business meetings, and gatherings of all types. The seasonal outdoor patio on historic Wales Alley offers views to the Potomac and a fun, casual destination.**

*Unfortunately we do not take advance reservations on our outdoor patio, but we will do our best to accommodate requests as space is available.
** All Major Holidays will require a $50 deposit when booking and subject to a 2 hour table time. Please call the restaurant for assistance.

6:15 reservations for 2. Arrived at 6 but the table was not ready - completely understandable and acceptable, so went to the bar area for a cocktail. At 6:35 I went to host about my table and received an unacceptable response from host AND manager. I regret not leaving at that point. Finally, at 7:10 we were seated and no genuine apology or remorse from manager. Sadly, there were others behind us. I have eaten at Virtue Feed & Grain on two other occasions in the past 3 months and it is now off my places to eat in Old Town...there are plenty of other places with similar ambiance and food quality, but far greater and better service.

Consistently good food and service is great if they aren’t too busy. I love the cozy warehouse atmosphere.

Sat at a drafty table on a cold night and needed a space heater to keep warm. Still needed to wear my jacket for most of the evening.

I met my niece for brunch. Had a great meal, terrific service. We enjoyed our experience at Virtue. Staff was attentive and friendly.

Everything was amazing. Server seemed a bit agitated at first. Not sure if he was double or triple sat but after our appetizer came he was on it. Great restaurant great food. Will definitely be back.

My first time at V&F. Staff and service was outstanding. I had the salmon BLT and an Irish coffee. BLT was delish! Freshly made and side option of the southwest Caesar salad was perfect. Looking forward to a next visit and trying some seafood.
