vivo is where Italian comes alive. We relish the enthusiasm and joy with which the traditional Italian meal is prepared and delivered, and seek to recreate that experience for every guest. Our open kitchen showcases our chefs preparing fresh and local ingredients.

When you join us for dinner, expect it to be a relaxing evening lasting a couple hours over several piatti (courses). Your table comes alive when we present a variety of large offerings on platters or bowls within easy reach of all.

A classic Italian pranzo (dinner) usually beings with a variety of antipasti (hot and cold appetizers), followed by one or two primi (usually a hot pasta, risotto, gnocchi or zuppa). Next your table will share a secondi (entrees) served on a platter combined with your choice of contorni (vegetable side dishes). Italians often complete their meal with un dolce, un caffe, or un digestivo (dessert, espresso, liqueur or grappa).

Great place, alittle on the pricy side but food was good, the fettuccine was a tad on the salty side for us but the Brussels sprouts were to die for

Always good food , our favorite spot in Edmonton for Italian. We have been to Sicily and Amalfi and other parts of Italy and Vivo is by far the best tasting Italian food in Edmonton . Always good service as well .

Absolutely my favorite restaurant in Edmonton. Food is excellent, but what makes it the best is the staff. Always friendly, very knowledgeable and always up for a good conversation. I highly recommend Vivo! We will definitely be back again!

Fantastic Valentine’s meal with my love. We had the carpaccio and some breads to start, the lamb was absolutely fantastic, and finished the meal with probably the most flavourful cheesecake I’ve had anywhere in Edmonton. Service was top notch and overall had a memorable evening. Thanks Vivo.

The Valentines Day couples menu fell flat, unfortunately. At $240 per couple, it was way over priced and portions were incredibly small. The sharing plates were only enough food for one person. We left the restaurant feeling hungry still and ordered pizza at home. Our waiter seemed too busy to tend to our table at times and we needed to place our drink orders twice a few times throughout the evening. We came to Vivo for a staff Christmas party in December and was so impressed with the portion sizes, presentation and attentive staff, that I made a point to reserve early for Valentine’s Day and invited family to join us. I was embarrassed by how disappointing the evening was for them. I don’t recommend coming here on Valentine’s Day.

Had the fettuccine, and tenderloin. Both were incredible. Best pasta I’ve had in the city. Incredibly velvet and soft tenderloin.
