Italian-American fare in the heart of The Village. Crafted by Michael and Bryan Voltaggio, the menu at Vulcania Mammoth features organic, local and seasonal ingredients and is known for its Neapolitan pizzas, handmade pastas, handcrafted salumi, and perfect pairings of wine, beer and craft cocktails. The restaurant is casual and family friendly. The food is outstanding. We had the chicken parm, pizza margarita, and the rigatoni. The drinks were also delicious, try the cosmo. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Overall the bar staff hates their life and it clearly shows with how they treat their guests. The food was subpar, just not what is expected for that level of dining and expense. The only cool thing about it is the onyx bar and it’s not even pleasant to sit there because the staff is so unfriendly and it’s really just a remnant of the old Italian restaurant with a lack of unique decor or wow factor.

Amazingly good! The Italian wedge and the ravioli! Tiramisu, fabulous! Can’t wait to go back.

We came last week and had a bad experience. Food came out almost immediately for one person and 30 minutes later for the other person. We mentioned it to our server but didn’t want to make a big deal of it, she was apologetic and offered that it was busy and asked if we wanted to talk to management. We declined and thought it had to be a fluke and tried again last night. Even worse experience this time. Same basic issue, except it was not busy and server didn’t care. We never even got one of the meals because after 30 minutes we didn’t want to wait any longer. Asked the server to remove from the bill, she said she would but bill came and it was still on there.

We had the most wonderful evening celebrating my daughter's 7th birthday at Vulcania. It was our family's first time at the restaurant (our first visit to Mammoth) we were encouraged by a friend who is a local there to make a reservation several months in advance and I am glad that we did! We were greeted by David, the host, who also kindly checked up on us throughout our evening. Our server, Dakota, was delightful and knowledgable (and was also celebrating her birthday that same day which was such a fun coincidence for our daughter). We felt we were treated like royalty throughout the evening. The drinks were well-made (my husband and I enjoyed our Aperol Spritzes and our children their Shirley Temples) and we ordered a veritable buffet for our family table; among the best items were the prosciutto mozzarella, caesar salad, the shrimp and crab risotto, and the branzino. All outstanding. The kids of course appreciated the celebratory birthday treat. The ambiance of the room was lovely and warm, it was definitely loud, but we'd also been treated to a special table which kept us a bit out of the way of most of the crowd, so that was nice. Really appreciated the TLC, the kids loved spotting "Remi" from Ratatouille and getting to meet one of the chefs on our way out the door was an added bonus. We'd love to come back to experience one of the cool looking outdoor heated pods in the snow! Definitely looking forward to our next visit - thanks for a great dining experience.

Our large group of 8 had a GREAT experience at Vulcania. We were booked in one of the outdoor pods which at first I was skeptical about, but it couldn't have been more perfect for our rowdy group including a few energetic kids. The pod was warm and cozy, and even came with a bluetooth speaker for us to connect to. The service was top-notch - our waiter was very attentive and checked in on us frequently. Our food came very quickly and everything was great. Our new fave spot in Mammoth!
