Crafted by Michael and Bryan Voltaggio, the menu at Vulcania Mammoth features organic, local and seasonal ingredients and is known for its Neapolitan pizzas, handmade pastas, handcrafted salumi, and perfect pairings of wine, beer and craft cocktails. Great experience! Pizza was great the pumpkin ravioli was great along with a the salads. Our waiter, although I don’t recall his name, he makes knives and leather goods was amazing and fun! I make a reservation everyone we’re here!

I’m not sure I like the changes that have been made recently. I loved this place before. The food, tho, is not as good. The corkage fee was hiked to $40. The wait staff was great and we still had great service, but I couldn’t even hear the people sitting across from me because the music was so loud. I’m Italian - don’t order the Cacio de Pepe as it is not made the traditional way. It was swimming in oil and had some brown gravy stuff all over it. I couldn’t even it it And the Caesar salad didn’t even taste right with big hunks of broccoli and potato sticks on top. Save your money

Ceasar salad was excellent. Pasta and meatball were very good. Mozzarella and chicken parm were overcooked and dry. I asked for additional tomato sauce and was told there would be a $5.00 charge. Likewise, arugula was dry and under dressed. No butter or oil was offered with the bread, which was also dry. Service was efficient but perfunctory. Any extra request, such as a second drink, knocked servers off their stride. Meal was nothing special. Much like any corporate eating experience

Fantastic dinner and service. We were "starving" when we arrived. Our server Ella was on top of everything, drinks, app, food order and she crushed it with the dessert !! Thank you so much for a wonderful experience !! Ella and the bartender Tess really know how to treat people. Will be back soon

Great quality food and service. Cool ambiance and tasty food. Tri-colore salad was tasty and pizzas are homemade and excellent marinara sauce. Great wine list too. Ella, our waiter was excellent and friendly. Great bussers too and friendly atmosphere.

What happened???? This was my favorite spot when it opened. I was looking forward to coming back… and now the food changed. There was a scant amount of red sauce on the chicken parmesan. The marinara sauce use to be so good you could drink it and scarpetta the last bit with bread. Now, when I ordered the a spaghetti with this sauce, it tastes bland and more like a can of Hunts tomato sauce unsalted. What happened??? The pizza is probably okay still… should have just ordered that. There are not many dining options right now in Mammoth. That appears to be changing. Competition will certainly help!

Vulcania is the crowning addition to Mammoth’s burgeoning dining scene. Grateful to have a restaurant of this caliber and ambition in the Village and fills the void from the sorely missed Campo. We enjoyed two exceptional meals over the holiday weekend highlighted by the Voltaggio O’s, a modern and elevated spin on a childhood favorite. The caesar salad, crab risotto, chicken parm and margherita pizza are sure-fire crowd pleasers. A well balanced Negroni and standout bottle of Edna Valley Tempranillo accented our meal nicely. Service and ambience are perfectly on point. Vulcania rivals the finest Italian spots in any ski town and is a must stop for a Mammoth getaway.
