Italian-American fare in the heart of The Village. Crafted by Michael and Bryan Voltaggio, the menu at Vulcania Mammoth features organic, local and seasonal ingredients and is known for its Neapolitan pizzas, handmade pastas, handcrafted salumi, and perfect pairings of wine, beer and craft cocktails. A favorite locale for family dinner, date nights, drinks al fresco or a game of bocce ball on the terrace.

                              We have been trying to have dinner here since it opened, but the stars never aligned. Finally, we made it last night & it did not disappoint. The vibe is great, our server made the meal even better, and the food was delicious & very unique. Will look forward to returning as the menu changes seasonally.

                              Third time here and everything has gone downhill. Had a reservation for a birthday. Had to wait for a table. Ordered drinks and told the bar was backed up. Ordered appetizers, salad and entree. And asked that they be brought in order. The salad arrived with the appetizers before drinks. Told the kitchen was backed up. The salad was good (not great), calamari was small and fair at best. The pasta dish arrived and was undercooked and the sauce tasted like it was out of a jar(heartburn in the middle of the night, which almost never happens). Asked if we wanted dessert with no offer for birthday. Bad service from start to finish, food was fair at best. Pricing was like LA. We will not return as there were too many things wrong.

                              Interesting and reasonably priced wine list. We had the caprese, the saltimbocca and the risotto - all were presented beautifully and all were delicious. We highly recommend!

                              Vulvania has been consistently really good food and great service since it opened. One of the top 2 restaurants in town.

                              We were very disappointed. Vulcan is was supposed to have a great reputation. When we went walking were told there were no openings for a few days so we were glad we had a reservation. We waited a long time for service and when we ordered they told us they were out of three of the four entrees. We were not there late (7:30) and it seems a restaurant of this caliber should plan better if they were that booked. We may try them again in case this was an anomaly but we may look further afield instead.

                              I found it interesting that every employee I encountered had the same attitude issue. It’s almost like they are trained to act appalled when asked for anything. Someone needs to remind them that they work in Mammoth, not LA lol
