   We chose this restaurant because of proximity to Barlclays Center. We found the renews highly overrated. The restaurant was not attractive, and looked unclean. The seating was uncomfortable with the table too close to the banquette. The food was not good.

   Extremely noisey & lousy seating are top of my list! Very small round tables are shoved together & u r literally dining with ur neighboring table, practically sitting on their laps! Ordered the bar steak ( $27 )medium & it came out well done. Waitress was extremely attentive & apologetic & thats really only reason we stayed. Steak was great once it was cooked properly & loved the argula salad w dressing. Drinks are pricey-$8 for a can of Crisp beer & $11 for small wine glass of sangria. This was our first & last visit. For paying over $100 for what we hoped was a fine dining & intimate dinner this restaurant fell extremely short of our expectations!!!

   I've eaten at Walter's many times before and made a reservation to take family to dinner who were in town. Our table was ready as soon as we arrived and (as usual) the service and ambiance were great. The pork chop was delicious and the jalapeño grits were as well. My mother never eats or orders burgers but saw the table next to us order one and was inspired to do the same. She has commented twice since how much she enjoyed it which is probably one of the highest compliments I could think of (for a burger).

   Walter's is my go-to when we have Manhattanites visiting us in Fort Greene. Great scene, great menu: it somehow feels like a positive reflection of our whole neighborhood.

   Took baby and grandma for a 5:30 reservation and had a great time. Food was delicious and staff warm and sweet to my 11-month-old baby and my 79-year-old mother, alike. The oysters were delicious, if pricey, and they have some of the best fried chicken in Brooklyn (not as good as Brooklyn Bowl/Blue Ribbon). Cocktail menu was a hit for the adults, too. My mom loved her French Dip, and my fisherman's stew really hit the spot, since I'm getting over a cold.

   We loved our experience at Walter's! It has a great Fort Greene location, right on the edge of the park. I got the burger and it was delicious. Our server was nice and helpful and overall the place just gave off good vibes. Would definitely recommend this place. Make a rezzie though because it can get crowded.

   Terrific restaurant at a beautiful location across from Fort Greene Park, walking distance to BAM and Theatre For A New Audience.
